Why do we need FRIENDS?

I consider FRIENDS as alternatives to families. Some people don't have the company of a family and they were born to live with friends.
I have FRIENDS who played different kind of roles in my life.
When I was a child, my playmates helped me see the world in an exciting and wonderful way.
While I grew up, some Friends helped me believe in myself and encouraged me to go far beyond what I can do. They taught me how to strive hard and keep on reaching for my dreams.
Others taught me how to walk through this life with a positive view. Life may give us heartaches and brokeness, but these people helped me believe that there will always be sunshine after the rain.
There were also friends who made me become me. Their friendship had mold me to become a better person.
THESE are only few of the many reasons I think why we need friends. If we don't have friends, it's like living a muted life-a life without color and music. FRIEND is a constant need. We can't really survive a lifetime without having one.

I agree that 'friend is a constant need'. Life is really dull and boring without someone to talk to or to hang with. Friends are those who you can always turn to whenever you're feeling down. And it is usually easier to share thoughts and feelings to friends rather than to a family. But there are different types of friends, so it is always important to know them better. Some friends can drag you down, while others can inspire you. Some friends will be there for you at the the hardest part of your life, while others will just turn their backs when you needed them.
I guess, in this case, the most important thing is to be a BETTER friend for others, too.

Your observations are correct and I edorse these fully.
I am a muslim from Pakistan and our Prophet (PBUH) has said,
That person is poor if he has no friends.
So you are correct but before expecting trust from someone you have to scrifice first.

I am dealing in antique and vintage watches .It is agood hobby besides earning money.I am very much contented from my friends.

hi invisiblelady.. friends have a lot of importance in all our lives, we need them.. there are somethings we learn from them and also something you would find comfortable sharing with them, good friends understand and help us in times of need, life without friends can get depressing..

Yes and that is friends where sometimes we have to find the right acronym to it in finding which friend system we want to use in our friendship and the related networking to it. Future Relationship Intimately Excellence the Networking to Develop Sharing - that is and example for what to look and search for individual to implement n their own friends system as a selection for their decision making to choose friends.

Your all points are right.Friends is requirement of this life. When person go out from his house then requires someone outsider to support him.The teach us many things and not only frineds but all relations teach us different things.It is not necessary that friend always should be outsider , your friend can be your relatives too, your brother or sister can also be good friend.It is a sweat realtion of life which is requirement of every human being.have a nice time.
