Yes, Rio is out of the match. But to be true, this season Rio has dropped a couple of paces of speed and has thus looked vulnerable. Having said that United would have loved his experience of the big occasion and on that front will definitely miss him.
Evans and Vidic or Brown and Vidic will be a jittery combination and with the Big Drogba attacking it would not be for the faint hearted.
Cheers!

In the last Premiere League's game against Blackburn, Wes Brown did his job well. Let's hope he can do it well in the next match.
I think Johny Evans is getting better. And we still have John O'shea.
With them in line, i'm sure Rio Ferdinand's absence won't be a big problem.
Michael Carrick will also help the defense by restraining the ball in the midfield.
Don't worry, Man. United will beat Chelsea.
Glory glory Man. United...

Ferdinand's experience of the big stage will definitely be missed at the bridge, no doubt about it especially given the form drogba and anelka are in. But I guess, United have able cover in the form of Evans and Brown who would love to cement their place in the first team given a chance which id good for United. Ferdinand's lack of form and injury have been near fatal for United in the past few matches but we can surely cope even in his absence. I just hope he comes strong from the injury even if it takes a month.

yes, it is a little trouble for united without ferdinand....he is the very best defender infact for united..but for the next six weeks, there should be a better replacement, evans is better choice, but rafael da silva is very youg and he defending the balls very well and he can play in ferdinand's place, else neville should play in ferdinand's place and rafael in neville's place, because rafael can score goal..

Yeah, I'm sad too. But hey, last season J.Evans did a superb job on Drogba and we almost beat them at stamford bridge. I'm sure that Evans can do a superb job in replacement to the injured Rio who should be allowed to rest and heal his back injury. We still have Brown/O'shea/G.Neville/J.Evans/Vidic who can play there so I'm not worried about the defense at all.
