What gives you hope? What moment in life did you feel, see, experience it?

God Himself gives me hope. Whenever I feel so sad and other people are like prosecutors and easily judge what I'm doing, I become nearly hopeless and think that they're right... that I'm by no means good at anything I do. But when I pray, I feel my strength is renewed and hope has descended from heaven again. :)

At 36 weeks pregnancy on Friday morning it was confirmed that I would have a baby with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I had the hope that my baby would survive and get the best possible care. I knew that I needed to have a home birth and I hoped that I would be able to have one. I stood for my rights and got my home birth. My baby boy was born and had an operation that same day. That closed the hole in his back. Two weeks later he had another operation to put a shunt in his head. He is now a happy little two and a half year old boy. My hope kept me strong and I am now the parent of a disabled child. What gives me hope are sayings like 'it is always darkest before the dawn' meaning that the is hope when life is challenging.
