Every week, we intend to plan our day to day meal. The meal that we need to cook for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meal that we are going to serve for our family.
In our home, I was the one in-charge what dish is to be prepare and cook. I need to do some listing of all the dish I've known. Also, I need to prepare a dish that will suit to the taste of my family. At first, I find it easy, because, I have a lot of choices in my listing but as the days passed by, they try to look for another type of food. As if they want to taste new food.
One day, I dont know what type of food will I prepare. That I dont have any idea what should be plan. And since my family wants a new one, Eventhough I have those listing which I am using as my guide in planning and preparing, still I dont know what to cook
Then I realized that I need to do some innovation in cooking and planning. That I need to re-organized the list of recipe that I have made.
Aside from that, I slowly realize that planning a meal is not that easy. Thus, you need to think some innovation in planning and preparing a meal.
How about you, how difficult for you to plan a meal?

Good day to you.
With regard to your question, I am also encountering the same. What I am doing is watching some tv shows that gives some tips in planning a dish. Aside from that, I try to read some recipe which is included in the labelling of some canned goods.

I am so relieve that I am not the only one who finds it very difficult to plan day to day meals at home.Actually, I am the only person who is in charge of kitchen and cooking and making breakfast for everyone and I must say, sometimes it is really frustrating for me, moreover if we keep on eating the same meal, the same recipe every two days, I find it kind of boring.Sometimes I would look into internet and find some easy and simple recipes which doesn't take up much time and if it turns out good, I usually add it to my favorite recipes note book.Honestly, I wish I could just sit and relax and let somebody else plan a meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever for me and my family without me struggling to decide what to cook, prepare and what not

It is just me and my husband and he eats whatever I prepare. I sometimes just decide what I am going to fix at the last minute. It is hard to prepare different meal everyday even though I only have to prepare dinner because my husband works and take sandwiches for his lunch. He also fix his own breakfast which turns out to be just a sandwich.

Generally speaking, I don't make the plan to prepare my meal, because I often eat in the dinning room in my company. I only prepare my meal for weekends, and I will go shopping and buy something from super marketing. So it's not very difficult prepare my meal. I agree with you, because you need to prepare the meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday, and you need to choose different dishes, so it is difficult.

When it comes to planning a meal, I don't have any good ideas for it is a difficult task completely for me.
Usually, my mom or girlfriend will make a plan of cooking and what I need is to have a meal. Yes, I am really good at having a meal. In my eyes, to make a different plan to day meal is really difficult and it is obvious that I am not competnet for making a unique meal everyday. In order to preparing a unusual meal, my mom often spend some time on watching the TV shows about planning a meal.
I am not competent for planning a unique meal completely. If I have to make a plan someday, then I may cause more trouble other than making a success.

This is a very good question. I find that myself I cook most of the meals that I know already that my husband likes. If I do that all the time, then it can get boring. I look sometimes at the recipes on the Food Channel cooking shows and even if I don't make the dish exactly like they do, it gives me inspiration to make something new and different for dinner.
Then I introduce this new dish to my husband. He is always honest with me. If he likes it, he will ask me to please make it again. If he doesn't like it so much, I just forget that recipe. Most of the time, I cook pretty simple foods with the ingredients that we both like. Also, when you get older some of the spices you can eat when you are young are not agreeable to your body and will give you stomach upset. So, I stay away from foods that are too spicy.
I cook all the time. We do not go out to a restaurant except for very special events. It does become a very difficult task to figure out all the meals by yourself. Suggest a recipe you have found and see what the reaction is from your family. That's about the best suggestion I can think of. Happy Cooking!

It can get a bit frustrating, being only one person that has to think of a new meal to make every night. I usually just buy what ever meat is on sale and then I decide what I am going to cook by what ever meat that we have in the freezer, and I like to think of new things to fix. I actually enjoy learning how to cook different dishes from different countries and I have this large wonderful cookbook with step by step instructions on about 20 dishes each from about 10 different countries, that book has been wonderful in helping me learn how to make different things from different countries.

Actually, i dont find it that difficult because we dont really plan...We normally buy fresh food that we like to eat and whoever has the time to cook does the cooking. We don't really set plans because it depends on our moods and whoever is at home to cook.
We do have cravings and that's what we cook from time to time but preparing a meal plan per se, well, we tried that and we ended up not sticking to it because we wanted something else that day.

To plan a meal for me is not difficult at all. I usually like to prepare something that is going to be simple and since I only have to prepare for one person I usually already know what I am going to prepare. I will plan out my meals on Saturday for the whole week and get the ingredients so that I will not have to go to the grocery store during the week.

I find that the easiest meals to plan for are lunch and dinner as in our houshole we cook enough food the night before for dinner, that we can have it the next day for lunch.
We find that the simple meals are often the best tasting ones and we bought alot of quick meal cook books. I like to use the crockpot alot as it is easy to cook and the food always comes out great. As for breakfast it is usual the simple stuff like eggs, bread and cereal which we just stock up on at the start of the week.
We find it best to do the shopping on a sunday night so that we can plan the meals for the week so we know each day what we are going to cook for dinner, and to spice things up a little i like to search the internet for fresh and new ideas
