Do you think the Russians will dominate in the London Olympics in 2012, based on what the current juniors (Aliya Mustafina, Komova) are doing as well as the seniors?

I think and I hope that Russians will dominate in 2012 Olympics. Come on, it's their time to shine! It's time to bring back artistry in the world of gymnastics! Well, I agree that difficulty deserves to be rewarded. But please, if a gymnast cannot even make a full split or could not even point her toes, that should be extremely penalized. I love how the 1999 BBC commentator stated it, if we are rewarding gymnasts only for their difficulty better not to call it "artistic gymnastics". And surprisingly, Maria Olaru won over the very artistic Victoria Karpenko. I hope the 2012 gold medalists will be from Russia. I am really gunning for Victoria Komova, Aliya Mustafina, Anastasia Grishina, Tatiana Nabieva, and Anna Myzdrikova (plus either a healthy Ksenia Semenova or Anna Pavlova). I want Pavlova to grab at least one gold medal!!! Please she deserves it.

I went to the 2010 European Championships recently and thought the Russian team were excellent, both seniors and juniors and they are very talented and beautiful to watch. The junior team was Viktoria Komova, Anastasia Grishina, Anastasia Sidorova, Violetta Malikova and Maria Paseka. 4 of the 5 girls made apparatus finals. Komova is outstanding and I think she could well be the 2012 Olympic Champion. I met her and all the junior team and they are lovely girls too, very happy and friendly. Of the seniors, I think Mustafina is the best but they are all great. I hope Semenova overcomes her injury problems as she is one of the most graceful gymnasts.
