What does it take to be able to become a good reader? If one wants to improve their diction and articulation when doing a public address, what are some of the key factors one would need to put in place so that professionalism may be achieved and stuttering put at a minimum.

To become a good reader, the only thing one can do is READ. And it is right to think that being a good reader may lead to becoming a better speaker. However, I believe this only happens when you read ALOUD. Reading prose or poetry to family and friends is a great way to get rid of stuttering. My family once hired a coach to help my cousin get over his stammering. That might be a little pricey though. Instead, one can practice in front of a mirror. Good luck!

I have always practiced my speeches in front of a mirror. That way I could change facial expressions to match better. You can also watch your body language to make sure you are giving off a very positive, personable image. I think practice makes perfect, so the more you go over it, the better you will do. Best of luck to you!

Reading is the best hobby one can have.. And to improve reading skills one have to first develop a thirst for knowledge and books... This can make you think at every free-time to start reading... In my opinion the best way is to get interested in good knowledge books and others.. If you have interest you can finish a big novel in a day ...! So just develop your interest in books..
