I drive my own car to and from work each day. I only live a small ride from work but it's definitely a lot faster for me to drive than it would be for me to walk. And since the weather is getting cooler I'm not too interested in standing outside in the cold to get to work. I don't mind walking as my two years of college in this time I walked everywhere when I went to class but now I'm driving to work. I enjoy it so much more.

I did not buy a car, thus I will not take the car to work as my daily transportaion. I see that some of my colleagues took their own private car to work as the work required, those need to meet the clients usually, it is inconvenient for them to take a bus.
It is not common for a company in my country giving a company car to their employees unless those employees contribute a lot that deserve the car, otherwise fewer employer would like to invest on it. Per my company, as it placed in a remote location, several cars are arranged to pick the employee to the city daily and the weekend.
Have a nice day.

I don't use my private car to work, I take public transportation to work. I think it's not common in my country, Malaysia to provide company cars to the employees. It depends on what kind of work you are doing, and also your level, I suppose. Most of my friends or the people I know do not have company car, except for one who needs to go to the construction sites and hence the company provides a truck for him.

I have just been in US about two months, so I have no car now. But the all of the employees in my institute take thire own private car to work. I am from China, as far as I know, few company giving cars to the emplioyees. Perhaps some functionary using the car of government.
