Here's another interview with my favorite member of the NCIS team, tho Abby comes in a close second... Of course, I've loved this man since I was a teen. So, for those of us who are McCallum fans, here's another interview with him. http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/entertainment/Interview-David-McCallum--.5802933.jp So, do you love Ducky or is he just a background member of the team that you love so much? In my, never to be humble opinion, we don't see enough of Ducky...

I was surprised to see when he appearred on this show. I mostly associated him with the MAN FROM UNCLE and would only see him turn up periodically in movies or TV but never as a star. NCIS is probably a cushy role for him because he's not in every scene. That may mean that he only has to spend a few days a week on the set, whereas the other characters have to be there every day. It's a little like the way Donald Southerland was used in the movie animal house. He filmed his role in a couple of days, but his on screen appearances were spread out so it looked like he was in the whole movies. I'm not originally a fan of NCIS but I got caught up in it by recording and watching the reruns from USA.

I loved him on UNCLE, and while this part is a whole different personality, I love him here too. Of course, he's easy on the eyes... my other screenname - not on mylot - incorporates "Illya" into it.

Since I am a heterosexual male, I generally don't get too hot about male actors.

Hi Elic, I used to have a crush on him and still do, he is one of the greatest actors and its a shame we don't see much of him on our tv. Tamara

I, too, have a crush on him. I hear NCIS is showing over there, after all, the article is partly about that.

Yes, I really like the character of Ducky and I really like Mr. McCallum. If he showed up at my door I would welcome him with open arms. He is an actor that is true to his craft--I don't know his politics and that's how it should be. His work speaks for itself. While I would like to get to know him, I admire his reticence in introducing his personal views into his career. Whatever his political views, he hasn't foisted them upon me or other fans and that is so rare that for that very reason, I respect him more. What a good actor!! I watch everything I see with him in it. He is VERY under appreciated! What is it about the Scots and Welsh men that they are attractive way into their 70's and 80's?! Must be their smarts!

Well, I do know his politics, but since he's not a U.S. citizen, I think he keeps them to himself. I agree, tho, I do appreciate that he's not out trying to throw his celebrity about to push his agenda. And I agree, smarts are very sexy...

Is the USA ahead of the UK in episodes? They were talking about an episode that was awhile back for us, and Fiona Shepherd? It's Jenny Shepherd for the USA. Hmm, very peculiar to be honest, but nevertheless I enjoyed reading the interview. I am a fan of Ducky, but more of Mcgee and Abby, and Gibbs. I guess I don't really have a favorite character, which is strange as I usually do.

As I said, I've loved this man since I was about 13. But I have to say that I also really love Abby, McGee, Gibbs and Ziva, even Tony is growing on me - like a fungus.

Tony, like a fungus... sounds like something Ziva or Kate would say, even maybe Abby. I don't know there real names, on Gibbs and Abby's.

I've loved the man ("from .....") since 1964. I only hope that I look half as good as he does, by the time I reach the age of 76! cdrxo

I enjoy ducky and the way he tries to input his "history" and "knowledge" into his stories. The poor lad can't seem to get a word in edge-wise :( some of those stories I would really like to hear all the way through just to see what the outcome will be. I have to say, Abbey is my favorite but have a favorite for all of them. I love NCIS and enjoying the new NCIS also.

I agree, there are times I would like to hear the stories, but they don't exactly pull the actual story along. I can understand liking Abby, like I said, she's a close second - she's just so quirky, except for the tats, I wish I could be that way - too much work tho...

What a delight this man is. He still doesn't get how his fans feel about him. Very self-effacing. He may be seen carrying his groceries down the street to his apartment where he & his wife of many decades live, or hopping on the city bus. He is The Anti-Hollywood actor's actor. Sigh...& still drool-worthy after all this time And he's a Conservative! So what's not to like? Yes! More Ducky! He was the reason I began watching NCIS, though I quickly began to appreciate most of the other characters, as well. Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER

Oh, you knew I'd love it. I love all things David. He's just such a dear, sweet man! He's given millions so much enjoyment, & "Ducky" continues that. Thank you so much for the heads up. You're correct--I'd never have seen this had you not found & sent it to me. I have rejoined the DMcC list-serve, but for some reason, the letters don't (or won't) come to me. I must be doing something wrong, but what, I'll never know, as I am The Anti-Tech! Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!
