how to increase typing speed

Type with both hands, try to use all your fingers, however that's pretty hard and I just use two fingers but still I reach like 75 words a minute which is fine I guess. I wish I could type faster but I think it has something to do with my motor skills which are pretty underdeveloped. Oh well... ;)

Well, increasing speed comes with practise. Either just typing, like in mylot, or you get yourself a special computer program for it. What I found for the fastest typer of the world is a Mr. Dixon with 307 words a minute.

I use a program called TypingMasterPro it helped alot when I first had to start typing for a new job. I was average(32 WPM) within a few days and then if I need a refresh I will sign on for one day and get up to speed. I wish I had the time to acctually finish the whole program because I think by the end of the course I could be really fast at touch typing.

Well I am not sure who the fastes typist in the world is, but the more you type the faster you will get. I personally type 125 words per minute which is pretty fast, but I used to be a secretary. I improved my speed back then by usuing a computer program called Mavis Beacon's typing tutor. It really helped me to type better because it figures out where your problem areas are and it helps you to work on those areas and improves your speed.

it would help you to invest into a computer program probably because it really helps. One of my classes in my highschool is Digi tools and it is basically a business class. The first three weeks we learned how to type without looking at our hands and increase our speed. This class really does work because i can type 45-55 words per minute now that i have gone through the class. It wasn't that had either. Just search around the internet for a good program or even a website that can teach you how to type. l3acon

Hello kush If you really want to increase your speed in typing, you have to spend a lot of time with your keyboard. Yes, practicing can only help you in this way. As far as I know, you have to type with two hands and all fingers as well. Try to see on the monitor when typing, not on the keyboard, though it will be very hard at starting. Practice with paragraphs from any newspaper or magazine everyday. You can also take help of those free typing softwares. Happy Mylotting

there are some typing softwares available on net for free just download and make use of them they will really increase ur typing speed u will be teached fingering all basic practice and make use of it it will increase ur speed but i prefer if u respond to post here u will learn typing easily

I am also a person who likes to improve my typing speed... My current speed is now only about 40 word per minute... can anyone suggest any software for better typing and which is fun also.. If there are any software like that please provide me the link... If there are any good sites which are useful please include that also... Thank you.
