i never believed with passion that education is the answer to poverty! hell no, dump those make beliefs! improving life isn't about having a good education or something like that! though it has proven itself but most people has been having a notion the only way to have a successful life is through education which i disagree most because i know soooooooo many guys who have proven themselves without finishing college or even high school!! that is the problem with people who are living in a poor country, people would always think that education is the way to get out of your misery. think of it guys, life will always depend on your mojo or game or something like that. no matter how intelligent you are, no matter how talented you are, it will never help if you don't have a mojo in life, nothing will happen to you. but even if you don't graduate as the school's valedictorian you will always still have a great source of income if you got game on dealing with your life. what's your opinion on this?

I don't share your opinion. Education is very necessary. Imagine if you have a good game plan and all your players are stupid, how would you earn? Imagine too if you are rich and can afford to travel and dwell in hotels but the rest of humanity around you is stinking, what pleasure would you derive from that? The great civilizations of the world came to be because of education... Europe, New York, even the heat filled Saudi Arabia. One can only think well and rightly because of education. You learned to write and to reason because of education. Do not be misled by your own thinking powers. It might lead to your undoing. Get educated. It ends only when your mortal body yields.

yes i get what you're trying to say but what i mean is that education isn't the only way to get successful, now if you still don't agree to that, I'm still pretty sure you know some people that become millionaires without even graduating college. c'mon get a life, this is reality. no matter how educated all the people were, poverty will always exist. I'm not being skeptical about anything, but try to look at the situation around you, even the most powerful country in the world with the most advanced weapons because of their technology that comes from knowledge, still collapses. i'm not against education, i'm just a pro-reality person. :)

Steven Spielberg? Bill Gates? Do they have degrees? Am not sure. But they are not millionaires. They are multi-billionaires, I suppose. They are the exceptions to the rule. The genius of these two are inborn. Innate in their nature to succeed. They will get rich because of their oozing intelligence. Otherwise, education is a must. Those who do the short cut probably learned tricks from the trade, legal or not. And to say that getting education is not getting a life is a bit faulty. I know so many people who breathe education and are the happiest people on earth. Being a millionaire is not the objective of education. That is the objective of the greedy few. Bill Gates distributed so many computers to China and other third world countries hoping all the peoples of the world can receive education. Poverty had been there since time immemorial. It is because of those who allow it that it is never appeased.

I do get what you are trying to say but I disagree with you that education is not important...it is. I know many educated people that just don't get anywhere because they don't apply themselves. I guess that would be lack of mojo. Back in the day, one could quit high school and with enough energy and drive and intelligence be quite successful in life. That does not hold true in todays world. You may find some rare exceptions but you really do need at least a high school education. Then if you get into the right line of work, sometimes you can take some courses and move up on the ladder without actually getting a degree. Still...that is further education. Technical school is further education as well. Maybe you could give examples of how one could be successful without education. Name a successful uneducated person and tell us what they are doing. This has to be someone in todays world...not back 50 years ago. ok?

yeah i understand that but i didn't say that education is not important, it is. in fact it is necessary but what i'm trying to point out here is that education isn't the only way to be successful with life, please remember that.

Yes,you are right.Education is very important to both our personal and professional life, in a number of significant ways!Depending on the level of success you’re seeking to achieve, the level of education may be relative. English and language skills will help you to communicate your ideas more clearly. Communication skills are essential in any role – whether you’re dealing with co-workers, patients, customers, or supervisors, you will need to effectively convey your plans, ideas, goals, and such.Although calculators and computers are readily accessible, you still need to learn how to do basic computations and calculations on paper or in your head. If you are calculating dosages, counting surgical supplies, or tallying sales, math skills are imperative for a career, and for life. Cooking, shopping, driving, and many other everyday activities require math skills as well, regardless of your career choice.the word LEARN contains the word EARN? Perhaps that is because the higher level of education you achieve, the higher level of income you are likely to command as well. For example, consider the following health careers and the educational requirements as they relate to annual income.

Okay, everyone needs some kind of education, I would not knack it because I am studying to be an English Instructor, so I have to believe in the education system to some extent. If a person wants to be a true success, they have to have the mind and the luck! Yes, half of it is your mind, are you smart enough? And, the other part of it is luck, or just how lucky you are? Oh, will! Yes, will! If you have the will power, plus intelligence, plus luck = success. Don't believe me? Look at Bill Gates! Bill Gates was a college drop-out. He is smart, he is lucky, and he somehow had the will to come up with Microsoft. Steve Jobs (Apple Computer Hippy), same thing goes for this guy. The same can be said for anyone who is rich and famous. Heck, look at Oprah! She is super rich and famous. She is smart (she has to be to where she is at), she is lucky (lucky that her show lasted this long and that she has made millions from it and other things), and she keeps going (will power). Yes, you need and education to a certain extent.

Let me say that I am one of those people who has had some success without a degree but that doesn't mean that I share the same beliefs as you do. I respect your opinions but I think that not everyone can make it without a degree. It takes more hard work and street smarts if you dont have book smarts. I would say that your education is something you can fall back on. You can do whatever you want after you've finished because at least you have a degree. At least, if you don't make it on your skills alone, you can try and make it with your paper.
