Going Mac and never going back . . . . GOOD IDEA?!

I'm looking over some laptops and for me they all seem the same. The only thing is as the price gets higher the performance is greater and you can only get a nice laptop if you have the money to show for it.
Now I'm just asking from my parents for this laptop and I don't want them to spend a lot but I'm an I.T student and an avid gamer i want a laptop that has the capacity to store, performance for my games, and the endurance for those long hours of programming.
To be honest when i choose a laptop i only see the best and everything else is just mediocre . . . . which results in not buying anything at all.
For years i've been using windows on my desktop computer and i wanted to venture into the world of mac. Since im a fan of apple's design the sleek clean white or black design looks good and mac's graphics are nice. although some critics say that mac lacks some colors. But then the only people who could see that are ones who's working with graphic art and design.
Should I turn to mac?! or go steady with windows.

.. I think getting Mac is so cool but, its price will make you cry..haha.
Did you know that a single mac book can buy you a "lot" (i mean land) in the province here in my country. But as you can see its features and capacity is undeniably great. It is just the price that makes it hard to buy. With the present economy i don't think it is worth buying, but if you are capable of buying it..then it will be awesome. But as for me, there are other laptops that you can check on with great features and in competitive price. As you said, if you just play games with it...haha.. I don't think Mac is a laptop for you. But being an I.T. student said it all you should have it but if you can't there is still a chance. After you graduate and already have a career I think that is the best time to buy your mac.hihi.
Or you can check ebay every now and then and see if it was on sale.

I think it is sleek. But you can check on HP. Acer is great too... Have you seen the new Ferrari Laptop from Acer? lol.. I think it's cool! I like it!

Get a Mac, and get a Window 7 to run on boot camp. Mac is awesome, but it can be irritating when you desperately need to run some programs or games that are only available on Window.
