Sometimes we take quite some time to type a long nice response and when hit the 'post discussion' button and !!!! you are logged out of mylot!! and lost all that you have typed, i am sure it gets frustrating, isn't it? it has happened so many times with me as well... all that thinking you put into that long response just gone missing somewhere! ... well this is something you would want to do if you don't want to type it all again, click the sign in on the top of the page and log in and hit the back button of the browser two times, after logging in when you click the back button for the first time you will come to the log in page again, go back again and the browser would prompt 'resend/repost data?' and accept it, voila you have post the whole thing you had wanted to originally ... i am sure you will find this quite helpful, something which probably some lotters know about already i guess, still i wanted to let you know coz it has really been so frustrating for me when i have typed a really long response and fissk! disappeared into thin air logged out of mylot when clicking the post button! another alternative if you want to be careful and i guess many use- notepad... but when i accidentally came to find this thing out i didn't need a notepad as well.

This has happened to me in the past whilst being logged into My Lot! However, this was a problem that related to My Lot itself. This doesn't seem to happen anymore and I'm pleased about that. I suppose it's a good idea to open notepad or word and copy and paste every piece writing you do when on My Lot, this would save a lot of hassle but like I said, this doesn't happen to me anymore. hi Andrew, it is nice it is good that this doesn't happen to you anymore.. it is really frustrating and it helps using a notepad.. well this thing i mentioned about here, i guess this will be more useful to lotters who can't copy paste and for those who didn't save it in the notepad..

hi guylian, even i don't remember when i too accidentally happened to notice this thing, i guess a month or so, but i hadn't started an open discussion about it.. and so finally i did it this time, after all if the post disappears like this it would get anyone frustrated, i don't really know why sometimes we are logged out after being idle for sometime... +)

I have also experienced this situation and I am really upset, you have exerted your full effort to express yourself to that discussion and then it will just be gone, anyway, we are system generated, we cannot this problem. After experiencing this problem, if I have a long response,i always prepare my notepad just to be safe,as what I am doing right now.lol.I am sad for those members who has less than 500 posts, they can't copy and paste,so they have to follow your second advise.I just know it by now. Thanks for the wonderful information. This is really helpful. i will keep it mind. have a great day!happy mylotting!

hi rberon, well using the notepad we can be geared up for the worst .. it is nice thing to do but yeah for lotters who haven't reached 500 posts this reposting thing will actually be quite helpful, i didn't think of that i mean you reminded me it could be a very good option for those lotters!...nice nice....thanks hehe.

That has never happened when I submit a response, but I have accidentally hit the delete button on my keybord, and I end up deleting everything I wrote, and I have to do it all over again. I have done that more than once, and it is so frustraging when they happens. I don't remember usually what I wrote, so I have to do it again, and then I am sure I leave things out. I don't know how I am hitting the delete button so easily, but I do. I don't like to have to write it all again, but for some reason I hit the delete button, and poof, it is gone. I guess I need to stop being going so fast and using my trigger finger. I still like mylot in spite of it, and I am here for as long as I an be. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

hi rosekiss well that must be so frustrating i know, i have not hit the delete button but it still feels the same when our post is gone! poof!... well i hope you are more careful with the delete button and it's good to know that the problem of getting logged doesn't happen with you anymore, the poof thing has happened with me once or twice accidentally deleting it all but i still type it, thinking all over again, though i am sure this thing might happen but we can't just ignore mylot for such a thing, we have to keep coming and coming here, it is just such a wonderful place, good luck to you too, happy mylotting and have a nice day rosekiss.

hi sonuherenz well it is really frustrating when we get logged out like that and especially when the post was big, we just have no other alternative if we were not prepared for that, well but using a notepad is definitely a great idea or at copying the whole content with keyboard shortcuts and then if it doesn't post then again you could paste and then post, have a nice day sonuherenz.
