I'm a girl, I have had a guy best friend before but things change when he got a girl friend. Now I have a girl best friend, she's more like my sister and we get along with each other though we rarely talk as we have our own family, but still the intensity of our friendship is the same. Do you think there's difference having a guy or girl best friend? Which would you rather choose to have, a guy or girl best friend?

there are absolotely a lot of differences betwween a male friend and a female friend.but if you regard him or her as your best friend, there will be a common character--when he gets a girlfriend or when she gets a boyfriend, things will change...

Yeah, there's so many differences having a guy or girl best friend. When the amount or level of your friendship is not that great, then when He/She has their own relationship things will change in your part. That had happened to me. But it's alright. Thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

I think I would rather have a male best friend then a female best friend. Only because I feel I can trust a man more so than a women. I just think women are to much into gossip where men are usually not into that.

For me when it comes to trust there is no such thing as gender. I've also known some of my guy friend who are into gossip, it's not only women. There's one time in our work where one of my office mate's secret was revealed because of a rumor that surprisingly came from a straight guy. What we women do, men did as well, though it's not quite known. Thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

to be honest, i really don't care at all if my best friend would be a girl or a boy as long as he/she is loyal to me. if given a chance, i'll have both. :D isn't it a nice feeling having two or more best friends? :D

i try having a guy best friend before when i was still in college, but it never worked since they do liked me in the end, liked me not as a friend but as his lover. i have noticed that to guys, they easily gets developed, having a guy best friend is the best but it's easier to fall in love.

Yeah, they said it's impossible to have a best friend with someone who's opposite because most likely it will end up being a lover. As like in your case. As there are some women who easily get developed with quite nice best friend or vice versa. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your day!

year~i think it's very different.I'm a girl too.I have the same experience as you.But I would like choosing a guy to be my best friend .Because i'm so tired to deal with something like girls'issues. In my mind ,some girls around me are so mean and selfish that i avoid being together with them.I like the lively and easy-going friends ,most of who are guys, even though they would ignore you a lot when they have their girlfriends.

I really don't believe in the friendship between a girl and a boy. I think the boy would think of her as his girlfriend! So I'd prefer a girl as best friend, and if possible I'd prefer a beautiful girl...

Same as rg0205, gender isn't important, the essentiality of a friendship is if you get a long each other and gained one another's trust. I myself have friends both guys and girls, and I'm very close to some of them. I'm comfortable talking things that involves emotional problems to girls, while other things like boys talk of course I'll share it to the guys. Happy mylotting!

I dont think that gender is essential when it comes to having a best friend. For me, as long as he/she and I get along well, it doesn't really matter. I have male and female close friends and they are special in their own way. The gender thing doesn't make me inclined to pick one over the other.

i don't think gender can get in the way of friendship. If my best friend was a girl or a guy it wouldn't matter 'cause he or she is still my best bud.
