To interact with friends, a lot of people decide to use instant messaging or even social sites such as myspace, facebook, bebo and a lot of others. Do you have an interest or use any of the sites above or any other sites you know - do you use them a lot? - Do you prefer to chat to your friends through that site than to text or call?
I personally prefer to use the social sites especially FaceBook as it lets me do everything i need to do without paying a single penny and all my friends are on it too - I also like using skype as it's free and millions of people use it including my family and also friends so it's great to know that I can talk/chat to them for free!

I too find er FB very useful there is also "TAGGED!" that you missed out again very simliar to My Space and new Twitter, and pretty much does the same thing yeah it's a good way for you to keep in constant contact with your friends and wot they are up to not only that it also keeps you informed on major events going on around the world with the ole chinese whisper method someone is likely to drop in a line about it on them sort of sites.

I'm using Twitter & Facebook. Slideshare for my presentations, mainly Power Point for my lectures. Scribd to share my documents. Delicious for my Bookmarks and Internet research.
I think Social Networks change the way we communicate and collaborate. The main change, for me, is the impact of Social Networks in the production and dissemination of knowledge, the real evidence that collective intelligence, and collaboration is more powerful that the old ways we used to produce it, and that we need ways to improve the so called Gov 2.0, the participation of everyone in main governments decisions. Social Networks are changing also Education and helping to understand other cultures and ways of thinking

I do enjoy talking to my friends even though I am not big on talking on the phone since I never seem to have too much to say and me and whoever I am talking to spend most of the time listening to silence, which is awkward and I do like social sites and my favorite is Myspace and that is how I keep up with most of my friends since almost all of them have a Myspace, and my wife also has a Myspace,we both also recently created a Face Book even though I do not use mine and she created hers because EA was giving out 25 percent coupon codes to the first five hundred people to leave a comment on their wall on Face Book and I made one so she would have a friend that she could play the YoVille app with even though I tried it and did not really get into it.

I love social networking.... I use them all; Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Skype and even Ning. I am on a few other networking sites as well. I have met so many people on these sites and some of the relationships has been well over two years.
I love that fact that on Facebook I have reconnected with alot of my high school friends. I can also stay in touch with future events, discussions, videos and fun applications. Twitter is like a text message for me, I have the tweets coming directly to my cell. In contrast it has ways of an instant message or even a big chat room. Myspace is just fun, nothing else.

I use a few of the different social networking venues. I have a mySpace page, a myYearbook page, my blog, Twitter and Facebook. I also use Yahoo messenger to chat with a select few of my friends. I use Facebook and Yahoo messenger most regularly. My blog and Twitter follow, then mySpace, then myYearbook. I haven't used myYearbook in so long I don't even know if my account is still active there. I've been invited to Tagged and other such sites. I'm happily married and not looking for what they have to offer so I haven't joined. I'm also happy to say that I've reconnected with many old friends and family members through Facebook. I think social networking venues are valuable tools, depending on your expectations of them.

I use orkut to keep contact with my friends. After completion of college education we all become busy with life and have little time so most of time use only orkut.

Well, we have no choice, do we? Every of our friends are using it and so we have to keep up in order to interact. Web 2.0 is a very powerful invention which enhances information sharing with a touch of fun and interest.
Many business entities and even government agencies are on social networking websites to share information. It is like a revolution in info sharing or rather broadcasting.
Cheers.
