I have 3 candidates for best President. Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kenedy and Ronald Reagan. Lincoln for ending slavery (the United States was the first country to abolish it), JFK for getting us to the moon and Reagan for ending the worst recession since the Great Depression (the current recession is nothing to the one in the late 70's, no matter what anyone says).
Worst? Jimmy Carter, hands down, with Barrack Obama quickly overtaking him.

I am inclined to agree with you 1. Abraham Lincoln without a doubt. He got slavery abolished and was a devoted husband. Every time I am in springfield I go look at his home and his tomb there is awsome. Yes he was definitely Number ONE.
2. JFK - He was good but he had a lot of faults - it was called WOMEN and his choice of women was not very good. He did a lot for the country and his end was a tradgedy for both his family, and our country. We got stuck with Johnson - a total waste of space.
3. For me this was a toss up between Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. Clinto was a good President - did a lot of good for the country but once again women were a big part of his life too. Ronald Reagan was great - I loved his "tear down this wall speech."
WORST - I couldn't agree with you more. Jimmy Carter and the one we have now - Mr. Obama.

us2owls, You're right about JFK and the women. the big difference in that between him and Clinton was that JFK got hot chicks like Marylin Monroe, while Clinton got butt-ugly women. Yes, clinton did some good, but only because he had to. the worst thing he did, I think, was signing NAFTA. Yes, it was Bill Clinton that signed it, not George Bush I like some like to believe. Most of my friends lost their jobs when he did that. The little bit of good that he did (i.e., welfare reform, and balancing the budget) is vastly outweighed by the bad. Besides, he only signed welfare reform and balanced the budget because he didn't have a choice. He didn't want to do it.

How about John F Kennedy? He was certainly well loved.
It was a very bad day when he got shot and like our Princess Diana everyone knows what they were doing when they heard the news that he had been shot.
