My husband is an excellent cook and we share the duties, just as we share shopping and we share clean up. We are good partners. We both have our own specialities that we are good with. We explore lots of new tastes and cuisines.

I have cleaned the kitchen when my Hubby cooked and no matter how good the meal was it is not worth it to me to have to do this.

For me, it's not in the gender. The could be a man or woman who is great in cooking. My brother is good in cooking. I love to eat what he cooks especially Adobo and Papaitan. They're delicious.

my hubby does about90% of our cooking in our house which is great for me. i am not an inventive cook whereas he definitely is. he does the cooking and i do the laundry. seems fair to me.

I am glad that my husband can cook. If I don't want to cook, he will cook and he thinks his dishes are delicious. I think today men and women also have to work, and therefore it is fair that they will share the housework when they are home. Husband and wife have the responsibilities for their home. So it is good that a husband can cook. It is very helpful. I love China

Well, my mother is really good at cooking and doing some experiments to improve some dishes. I asking her to teach me and I know some dishes, I wanted to also to cook a lot of things and hoping that I'll be a good cook and prepare some dishes for my girlfriend. LOL.

Oh how I wish my hubby could cook! Apart from the morning tea and the occasional Maggi, he’s ten miles off the kitchen. Sometimes I feel that he’s feigning it all…I mean how can a man not know how to cook? What there to know anyway…but Indian men are like that. Brought up in super indulgence by their doting moms, they hardly want to do any household work and cooking seems to be the worse. Take the case of my dad…for 12 long years he lived abroad alone…so he cooked his own meals. On returning to India however, I never saw him in the kitchen. Now that mom is unable to do all the cooking (she’s real sick on some days)…dad will go and do the cooking! So men are good cooks no doubt about it, its only that they are so used to being served by women that they don’t want to break the spell.

Mine cooks, but doesnt clean up after himself. So I prefer to do the cooking myself! Regarding who is a better cook, men or women - I do not think gender makes any difference at all. It is a talent, a passion.

my dad taught mom most of the stuff she cooked I'm not much of a cook - I can make mixes and follow recipes, but do I enjoy it? no

I love to cook. I guess that I'm pretty good, everyone eats it. I used to work for a chef and he taught me a lot. Most of the stuff that I do, I taught myself building on what the chef taught me. I also learn a lot from shows like Top Chef and Iron Chef America.

Hi there 23uday. I believe that it doesn't really matter if the cook is a male or female as both can be either really good, or really bad at it. It is rather a matter of experience and of taste i believe and I as a man do like to cook sometimes, while at other times my girlfriend cooks. We don't live together yet, so we will probably cook more then, but we are on the learning path of cooking, both of us. Take care !
