what does star before name indicates and what number inside it represents?

i had nothing before my name eaarlier now i have an unusual sign what does this stands for?

Hello friend, I had the same question some days before. The star indicates reputation. The number inside star indicates our performance. How was our quality of response and discussion was going on. It changes for every 100 responses, i think so. Have a nice day friend.

when you move cursor over the star, you can find mark out of 100. The higher your reputation was the higher you produced your quality responses to other users.
