I did a mylot task. It required donating cash of $5.00, the reward for this task would be you get back double your money. I completed the task at least 3 times and had an extra $15.00 added to my account instanty but it turned out this offer was not legit. The task was ended becaused some people stated they were scammed. Mylot stated I would get a refund and it was sent fast. Lucky I did not lose any cash because I like this program and I myself have tasks offered/listed on mylot, and use this daily for extra cash. As far as I know this a trusted site. Did anyone else try this offer or get a refund?

You did this task??!! Yes, you may have been paid, as promised by the task creator, but that is not where the scam in this task is, it is in that it may be a way to gain access to your paypal account. The doubled money you get is just the bait and possibly part of the method they use to gain access to your account. You should go to paypal imediately and change your pass word and then continue to watch it for suspicious activity.

I'd also go a bit further and say that it's probably best to remove the email address you used to sign into your PayPal account for this task from the account and use a different one. If you completely remove it, it decreases the possibility that your PayPal account can be hijacked by phishers.

Well said xfahctor, but no. The possibilities are there but very low. If the donation is made from a phishing site, then definitely the account can be hijacked. but otherwise, paypal have a huge security. So even though someone manages to get into the your account, it's very difficult to get away with the money.

Great that you made some money within no time. There are people who work for a whole month or two so as to get $15 into the account. But you made it so easily. I'm really happy for you.
Don't worry, Once the money comes into your account from task, it will rarely go back. So always the money you earned from tasks will remain with you because you got the money since the task creator had approved it.
More over, mylot is a trusted site, but task creators are not trusted & as far as I know, mylot does not cross check the offers the task creators make. So Someone can start a task & vanish with the money However it never happened with me.
Happy Lotting
