which photos hqve you chosen to represent your favorite topics, & why?

[b]I grew curious about this because I specially went in & selected ones pleasing to my eye, or that held some particular meaning for me. No-one else sees what I put up; it's solely for my amusement. Everyone else sees whatever picture they chose. Example 1: My pick for Politics is "Cthulhu," the fictional, "all-powerful" demon created by H. P. Lovecraft, horror writer. (And don't worry about pronouncing its name, as the demon is only called "He Who Must Never Be Named!") I'm not crazy about his work, in general, but among the images MyBot offered was this drawing of the many-tentacled monster, which rather resembles a patriotically colored, glowering jellyfish, or octopus. I find it funny, & a bit too apt, given the sinister turn politics have taken in the 20th & 21st centuries...but never mind. I know you don't see that emblem (unless you, too, chose it), but I sometimes wonder what others have picked for their emblems. Example 2: For "Dreaming," I chose a lovely painting of a dream-catcher, a pretty, feathered, woven Amerind device, thought to "catch" bad dreams, & so is hung where one sleeps. I don't have that belief, but they are nice artworks. Being an artist, I appreciate that. So! Want to share the stories behind & descriptions of your emblems here?
