2009 ....A year of changes, moves, and life lessons..................

I know it's a lil early but before we know it we will be saying goodbye to 2009 and ushering in 2010. What has 2009 brought your way? It's been a year of changes for me...January brought a break-up of a 3 1/2 year relationship, no tears, Feb brought a move from Pa. to Va. where I lived with my daughter until July. July I was on the road again, moving back to Texas. In the midst of all of those changes came a proposal for marriage, which in the end, I accepted (it sounded great at the time)lol, and 2 weeks ago, I called off the wedding! Long story.......But all in all it has been a great year for me, I'm back in my home state, living the single life with my new pup (got her in Va, in June), and been giving back, helping my parent's with construction and clearing out brush on their place. The new year will usher in my new position, doing what I love, wildland firefighting and getting paid for it! So, was 2009 a good year or not so good for you?

Weight loss is good, :), been keeping busy helping my dad to remodeling on their house, clearing brush that needed to be cleared out around the house, so that there is a defensible area should there ever be a grass fire around. And helped my youngest daughter paint the inside of her house, and going to help a friend paint the interior of her shop. And (see other new discussion lol) just recently went to the Texas Wildland Fire Academy for 7 days. So keeping busy! lol hope all is well with you.

2009 has been a rollercoaster ride for me. A lot of ups and downs and the magnitude of it was a bit overwhelming. Well, I lost some good business contracts due to the financial crisis but at the same time I was also given a good job opportunity that will do me well in the future. Most of what's happened in this year has to do with my work and career. My personal relationship has taken a spin, too, but we're doing alright. Thankfully, my family is good and well. Sounds like you've had an interesting 2009. :-)

Hi, for me, 2009 is not a good year, so to say.The only good thing is that I have started working for Mylot which is very recent.Since I am retired, posting responses in mylot has given me lot of information on various topics. After retirement, it is a good exposure to read various topics and learn and keep myself busy for the whole day.I hope to continue further 2010 also. Thanks! happy mylotting in 2010 also!

The year started wonderfully, with lots of beautiful plans for the whole family. It all came crashing down when my husband passed away suddenly in August. What can I say? I'm depressed and find every day ever since a total nightmare. I'm staying strong but life will never ever be the same.

2009 was a difficult year for me because financially I'm broke but as the year finally comes to an end I gained what I want and that is to have a good income at least it saved me lot from having big debts to my friends so I thank God for that for helping me survive this year and I know it will be another difficult year next year because of the present financial situation in the world today.

2009 was definitely a tough year. i graduated college, passed the nurses' licensure exam, became a full-pledged nurse. it was a lot. but despite the overflowing joy, i too, experienced a heart-breaking challenges. my more-than-2-year relationship almost ended without clarity but after a few months of self-struggle,we managed to fix it. now, we're happy, even happier than we used to be. i guess life just has its own way of waking you up, and knocking your senses out. 2010, here we come!

The first part of the year went really well, and lots of good things happened. In the beginning of 2008 I opened my first art exhibition. I sold more photomanipulations and paintings than I had expected and I was very happy. In May my husband and I got married. We had a great party and we enjoyed our honeymoon very much. In July we went to Latvia and Lithuania, and we had a really good time. I am on antidepressants and I had been able to avoid the dark periods for many months, but in October my depression suddenly got a lot worse, and I had many negative thoughts, other problems etc, but now I am starting to feel better again. Aside from October 2008 has been a good year for me.

2009 has been a great year for me and I have made alot of progress and evolved as a person. In the past I have been a painfully shy person who found going in public difficult. This year I gained confidence chasing some of my dreams. * I finally learnt how to ride a bike, something I had always wanted to do but was afraid to try. * Cycled 20km offroad up a mountain. * Travelled overseas to a country (New Caledonia) which doesn't speak English and was able to make my self understood in French the national language. * Quit my old part time job which I had worked at for three years. * Started screen acting lessons. * Went to my first acting audition. * Acted in my first short film * Helped produce a television commercial. * 2nd year of college * Got my fastest ever time in a fun run. * Started French classes inspired by my trip to New Caldeonia. I just know next year will be even better... for one Im already planning a trip to Europe for my 21st birthday! :-)
