I just run a five-kilometer distance yesterday. It is a benefit run dubbed as "Takbo Para Sa Ilog Pasig". It is conceptualized to benefit Pasig River and its waterways. It is a joint-project by different private organizations, including the company where I work: ABS-CBN. It has been always fun to participate in a benefit run. I have also participated in "Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan", an annual event/benefit run which is participated by ABS-CBN, its subsidiaries and other private companies and organizations.
Have you run for something good recently?

Please watch Teleradyo/DZMM or at ABS-CBN for other events like this. There is an upcoming "Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan" on February. Wait and join that event.

Where do you live edujccz?
Here in the Philippines, there are lots of events for a cause. We just join in the ones we like and we support.

I am happy for your to be part of the run for a cause! Mabuhay Ka!
The last time i experienced running (not for a cause) but for a company sportsfest in the Philippine REfugee Processing Zone, Bataan was 15 years ago. I got the third place for the female category. It was fun. How i wish i can join run for a cause in the future.
Congrats!

What's the prize?
If you want to run for a cause, wait for the annual Takbo Para Sa Kalikasan come February. It would be great.

Not at all. I used to jog every morning and have always had the intention of running marathons, but somehow never got around to doing it. My dad used to run marathons a lot (his knees and back won't let him run anymore) and we would always go with him to these events. Anyway, I am in no shape at all to join one at this time, but maybe I could start training myself now so I can join future ones, eh?

I make it a point to exercise in the morning by walking and by doing 50 jumping jacks. I got the hang of it now. It is easy to make that number. I'll upgrade it to 100 jumping jacks.

Yes. I ran "Race for the cure" which was raising money to support cancer research. I set my PR at tht race. I also ran last week but only for the alumni association from where I graduated college. I won a third place medal (in my age group). Next Saturday I am running for the brain tumor association. My sister has a brain tumor and so she and my other sister and brother-in-law are walking the mile. Myself and my nephew will run the 5K and my other nephew and his dad will run the 12K all of it will benefit Oklahoma's brain tumor association.
