in our country, everyone knowns about steak, but not everyone will have a try.but in the city where I'm living in,steak is popular.because a successful steak chain restaurant has opened many branches here and prices are acceptable.I find the taste of steak is delicious and i like the salad there, but to be honest,I cannot make out so many different kinds of the steak,to me,whatever they're called, they are beef.besides, some people, like my parents, they are not customed to meat that isn't cooked thoroughly.how about you?do you love steak?do you often have it?and do you favor some certain kind of steak?

Marinated t-bone. Grilled, rare. Many marinade recipes are available online. I like it rare so it practically melts in my mouth but the rest of my family does not.
I don't usually finish a whole steak so if there are leftovers and it's reheated, it still tastes good. I think if it's cooked longer initially, if it's reheated, it becomes tough.
What kind of flavor do you like? Sweet? Spicy (hot)? Asian? I can give you some links for marinades if I have an idea of what you like.

I love rump steak myself but I have not had this in a very long time and I sure do miss it! I have become lazy with my cooking and I tend to go for something easy now! Still, I'm thinking that I may make it a new year's resolution to try some steak once more! I love meat generally, I just don't eat enough of it. I think a rump steak with gravy, potatoes and vegetables, this makes for a very balanced meal! Steak tends to be the most expensive kind of meat I think. Oh well! Andrew

I am not a steak eater at all. I think that it's too much meat. I am a chicken and fish lover. I also like seafood; crab legs, shrimp, and lobster tails. My daughter on the other hand is a steak lover. She will buy the breakfust steaks too. I have never been a steak lover :-).

..Hi CathyLee2009, I happen to love fillet mignon. It is one of the tenderest steaks I have ever eaten. I don't have it a lot because I read an article once which made me cut down on my meat consumption. I apologize for mentioning this here, but it was important. It has been reported that meat will stay in your intestines and decay very slowly therefore contributing to the possibility of developing cancer. So I eat meat only every now and then, as there have been credible reports that this is true.
Sorry as I said to include that information, but it is what happens in our digestive system. I still love fillet mignon. Take care.

Hello CathyLee. I like to eat beef with fresh green pepper, which tastes good to me. I have eaten this dish for quite a few times in a restaurant. This kind of cooking style is my favorite, but it seems that it is not good to eat beef frequently as it is so-called red meat. Take care.

CathyLee2009,
I do not have any inclination to any kinds of meats as I am just one of those fans who goes for eating right and balance.
My experience with beef is quite wide from eating it raw to cooked. Being a person who enjoys eating, I can assure you that I have even tried the best steak restaurants both at home and overseas. But, I'd just like to make a special mention of my experience with Matsuzaka beef which by far is the tenderest beef I have ever eaten. It is also very expensive and rare, considering how they control and limit their amounts.
So, do try it when you are visiting Japan - make a trip to Matsuzaka in Mie Prefecture.
Have a nice day.

I love steak, any kind of steak! Medium.
Actually, all steak I love to eat.
I hardly get to eat it anymore, seeing as it is so expensive here.
But okay, I will be patient, maybe at Christmas time.

hi,margajoe.thank you for your response.I thought steak was very cheap in western countries, since it stemed from there.does it not a common home-style cooking?on the internet in our country, many posts about "how to cook steak" can be searched, for Chinese people are fond of cooking.I think it's very interesting to make steake by oneself and enjoy it!maybe you can try it!have a nice day!

Yes it used to be cheap here, until the cattle got sick.
They had to kill so many animals that the price just climbed high.
"The crazy cow sickness" they called it here.
They put the prices up, but did not put them down when things got better.
Like fish, it has also gotten so expensive!
Take care, have a nice day.

Any kind of steak for me is good as long as it's fresh. Some restaurants I've been to don't serve fresh meat so it doesn't quite have that meaty taste. Sometimes I like mine medium rare. Other times, I prefer them well done. I guess it depends on my mood :-)

I love beef, any cuts, and steaks are just great.
I like to have them half-cooked, with some blood remaining,s o they're soft...mmm...I love them! But they're so expensive, I don't get one since months.

hi,paleorainy!thank you for your response!half-cooked!it sounds difficult for me.medium-well has extended to my limit.but I never try well done steak, for it seems no one order well done steak in the restaurant...and if I want to eat well done beef,I prefer to cook and eat it home rather than to eat it in a restaurant...
but I have a question.you 're not the only one who says steak is expensive.and I always hear that meat in Europe and the united states is cheap, even is much cheaper than vegetables and fruits.so I'm confused.could you explain it to me,please?

Angus for me. There is this one place in Subic which is several miles from where we live that we go to for that. I go for 2 orders but cooked differently. If there is more space, I order another one til I can no longer breathe. I eat my siblings' leftovers too. Have to take advantage because we only go there 1x or 2x per year.
