did you hate mathematics when you were still at school?

symbols of math - The dreaded basic symbols of math which would later on lead to the complicated operations in math. :)

I hate math. It was not too bad until I got into high school and had to take Algebra. I was never a math student to begin with, but Algebra and Geometry were the worst. Also, I hate fractions.

well i'm still in school and i hate hate math! i basically have 3 math classes for a total of 6 hours straight. i'm really good in math so i'm in my regular math class and i'm also in a advance math class then after that i have chemistry which is still math to me! because you have to add subtract divide and all this other stupid stuff so every other day i'm screaming my head off because no one else in the school but me has to sit in a class for 6 hours learning how to do different types of math problems its so annoying because i get confused which equations belong to each class so i have to be really organized.

for a time i had the world's worst maths teacher. i'm sure he was good at maths but he couldn't teach to save his life. even the best behaved kids in the school went wild in his class and we never learnt anything from him. i passed the exam but only because i taught myself it from the coursebook.

Yes, I hated math when I was in High School, but now I realized that I needed math in college and it just sucks because before I did not listen to my teacher. My grades were okay but it's not something that you can brag about. Sometimes I'm envious of people that are good at math, I think that if you're good at math you're so smart. :)) I really don't like math. But recently, I heard a rumor that one presidential candidate in our country wants to remove math from the curriculum of High School and I was like "WHAT?" I mean, math is hard, but if we remove it from our curriculum, I'm sure that our country would be dumber than it is now.

When I was in schools mathematics was a big problem for me. I loved all other subjects like history, English and other languages. I was always being kept back after school lessons for the maths teacher to explain things better to me because I couldn't get it during the lesson. When I was around 16 years old, something seemed to change and I suddenly began to see the usefulness of mathematics and my brain became more responsive as I started reckoning lists of prices and numbers in my head easily. I don't know why this happened, it was as if my brain has suddenly caught on to how useful math was. - Derek
