Yet another Paranormal Activity discussion. I bet you're tired of seeing them already:P
So I finally saw it:)
Watched it yesterday alone in the dark at 3am and it absolutely failed to scare me.
It wasn't creepy even for a moment, not one scary scene-nothing. The worst thing is that it's totally predictable. Even the old Blair Witch Project is much scarier than Paranormal Activity. In fact, almost every other horror movie will frighten you more than this self proclaimed scariest movie ever.
But all in all I quite liked it. The movie was never boring and I was always looking forward to the next night (but the fact that "demon" acts only at night made it less suspenseful). Characters were believable and I'm glad they didn't overdid it with paranormal activities so it looked pretty realistic.
---Spoiler---
I've seen the original ending where cop shoots her. I've heard there's an ending where she throws the body of her boyfriend at the camera and laughs. I'm glad i haven't seen that one, it's sounds retarded. Then there's third alternate ending when she just returns in the room and slits her throat.

I have seen this movie as well and I should agree with you that this movie is really scary. I don't know that there are lots of version because I only saw the same version as what you have watched and I think that's the only version available.
If there are more than one version of it, then it should not be real? I mean, in the end of the credits, it is said that this movie is dedicated to... well, I forgot the names already. Seeing that, I thought it was made from the real taped paranormal activity, but I became doubtful after you said that there were three version of it.

You seriously thought it could be real?
Of course not. Due to low budget, it was filmed in the director's house and the actors were found on craiglist :)
The version we saw is the original version that was showed on the premiere and that's all over the internet. The one that plays in theaters right now has different ending (throwing body on the camera). Third ending (slitting throat) will be available only on DVD.

Oh, don't laugh. I put all my reputation to admit that I believe that that was a true story, but for a fiction it looks so real, wasn't it? I mean, yeah, it was boring at the first time, but after ten minutes, I couldn't stop watching and scream. Seriously, don't laugh.

Everyboy keeps talking about this film as if it was the best horror movie ever. I don't think I can take another "home made" horror flick such as The Blair Witch Project. It's not like I don't want to give this movie a chance, but there are other things I could be doing with my time right now. I will rent it went it comes out on tape. :)

It's better to watch this type of movie at home than in theater anyway.
The movies isn't bad but I can't say you'd miss much if you skip it.
