Which Col. Jack O'Neil Do You Prefer?

There is a significant difference between movie O'Neil and TV O'Neil (and I'm not talking about just the actors). In the movie O'Neil comes off like a no nonsense bad@$$, while on the SG-1 TV show, he's more of a goofball. I myself enjoyed both versions, I just have a hard time coming to terms with it being the same guy.
Some people tend to like one over the other, I'm just curious where people here stand on the subject.

The movie was more to the point without mucb time to develop a full personality. Also O'neill had just lost his son recently and was still very much grieving, while by the time the tv show picked up the story, it had been several years and he had retired. Then they pulled him back into duty. The personalities of the two actors make a difference too.
