nope I don't put up any christmas decorations, not even a christmas tree. Just not into any of that stuff anymore. Neither is my son, he is 33 and he is not that interested.

When I was a kid, & heard adults say things such as, "Oh, I don't decorate any more; that stuff is just for kids, anyway," it sent a shudder up my spine! I figured growing up must be the dullest thing imaginable! Was there some unknowable, terrible force that changed kids when they hit adult status?! I wondered if even I might someday suffer such a fate! It terrified & saddened me, as I loved Christmas decorations so much. I made a promise to myself then not to let it happen to me! I never want to be so jaded by the beauty of the season that I don't at least try to decorate! Please, God, I prayed, please never let me get that old! And year after year, my prayer has been answered; my passion has remained. When possible, I get & out & look through the town at the really good displays, ooh-ing & ah-ing like a kid at all of it. If I make it to Jimmy Cricket's "a hundred & three," I know I'll never lose it. I feel so sad for you, Winterose. Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!

She might, but in fact, I actually do hang things from my ceilings! It's so pretty! It's not just Christmas decorations, either, but, for example, I collect wind chimes & mobiles, & since I live in a rough neighborhood & don't wish to risk having them stolen, I don't hang them outside, but near AC ducts & a ceiling fan, to enable the chimes to tinkle & ring, & the mobiles to turn! People are always astonished to see such a colorful sight! That pleases me, being able to make people smile. It's a treat to see their eyes light up! Maggiepie IMPEACH THE IMPOSTER!

Yes. I love Christmas decorations and lights. We always decorate inside and outside every year. I already started putting up some of my decorations while I have the time to, both inside and out while it is nice weather also.

I usually don't put any Christmas decorations up because in the end it takes to long to put everything away, but seeing as how I will be having my first child this year, I think that I might go put some lights up outside, though where I live it gets very cold some years for Christmas, and even though I don't decorate outside, I do go all out with my Christmas tree.

I only put up lights if I'm feeling good enough to do it. I don't decorate inside because the cats would destroy them...

We usually start putting decorations and stuff up the weekend after Thanksgiving. My family growing up did it every year so now with my kids I tend to do the same thing. We usually dont get the tree that early but we do the smaller stuff and start the lights and whatever else. We do a little here and there so its not so overwhelming for all of us. The kids love it and always have a great time. We usually decorate inside and out.

I live with my mother currently, and she doesn't celebrate Christmas. I do put up a small desk tree in my room that lights up in the dark. =] Next year I'll be moving in with a friend, who LOVES decorating for every possible holiday. So I'm sure next year my house will be totally decked out with window clings, wreaths, figurines, and everything else you can think of. Me? I'm the baker, so I always make holiday-related deserts, especially cookies!

We do decorate during Christmas, even when Christmas is just approaching we started to put decorations. As the song goes, its the most wonderful time of the year. It is the most grateful and happiest time of every human kind, whether poor or not, happy or sad, christmas will come and no one can stop it. As for decorations, we have lanterns and lights, I don't know if we will put Christmas tree, but Christmas will not be complete without it so lets see.

I do a little bit. I'd like to do more but I have kids with a mottow of "SEEK & DESTROY" so until they can respect things I do not put much up beyond the tree. Even then I wonder if I should take that down as they spend alot of time rearranging the tree to the point they are using the plastic balls as toys, breaking them, and it just plain looks bleh. Plus the cats like to attack the tree as well. I guess I'm thankful the big guy didn't tip it over this year.

I do not. I am not really into Christmas and I don't have children so I don't bother with any of that.

Dear jugsjugs, I am so happy to response to Christmas topic because I am in holiday mood now. My son is having his 7 weeks long school holiday till the 4th of January 2010. Yes, Malaysia will be decorated with Christmas trees and decorations as a way to attract tourists and shoppers especially in the hotels and the huge shopping malls like Mid Valley and One Utama Shopping Centre. I noticed the countries which really decorate its Christmas trees with grandeur celebration is Singapore and Hong Kong. I just love to visit this 2 countries during Christmas, it really brings the seasons with joys and cheers. I do decorate my home with a 5 feet tall Christmas tree with its trimmings. I also hang some Christmas stokings here and there. Putting the Christmas gifts all around and under the tree is really fun.

I decorate the inside of my home for Christmas, but not the outside, though I am thinking of doing it this year. Seeing Christmas decorations always cheers me up and puts me in a good mood.

Yes, with two young kids in the house, we tend to go overboard on decorating for Christmas. Outside, we will do the lights around the house, I have little things that my kids put out. It's really cute once it's all set up. Inside, I have blue lights going up the stairs that is wrapped around garland. Then extra lights that blink and play music. Then we have our tree with a Christmas train going around it. Christmas is a beautiful holiday of lights and colors. Can't help from getting into the spirit.

Hey jugs! I do decorate my apartment with Christmas decorations, but not as much as I used to! I feel like since I have gotten older it is just too much work for me to put up my "big Christmas Tree"! It is over 6 feet and my kittys would climb it and wreck it so I stopped putting it up a few years ago! I now only put up a tiny 2 foot tree on a table and decorate the living room and the door! It still feels feastive inside and it looks Christmasy! I do miss my big old tree, but it is alot work and I know my cats would climb it and mess it all up! But, I do love Christmas and the decorations so I do the best I can! Oh, I also put lights on the windows and some decorations too!

I decorate the inside of my house. I just put lights in the windows. I am handicapped and it's impossible for me to hang lights outside. My boyfriend wasn't into Christmas, so I never even asked him to put lights up. He did help me inside, even though he thought I was nuts because I don't have any kids or anything. I have some friends help me but I'm not that worried about the outside of the house. If I have the inside decorated, that's enough.
