Is it true that we can also earn by sharing videos online?

I have heard that we cal also earn by sharing videos online but i am not kinda sure about it, is it true? Can someone tell me and please explain to me? Be as descriptive as much as possible please, cause i need extra income and i am doing all my best to earn money and i want to try this stuff just want to make sure if it is true.

Yes. Some sites (I think revver and metacafe) pay people by pageviews. So the more popular your videos, the more you'll make.
PS. If you want someone to transcribe (write down what people in the video are saying), I would offer to do that for free in exchange for a byline.

i have joined metacafe but i stopped because most people didn't like my videos and kept putting them down, most specially my newly made promo video, i was so pissed that i took all the videos out of that site, the only problem now is deleting the account. i hope no one has even bothered to copy my video and put it there.
