Who do you think is most loyal from the two? The PET? or the HUMAN?
Many things happen in life that we do not know will happen in to our lives and one of those is being dumped by our own friends or being left behind. Specially when they do not need us anymore or if we are already poor! It happens all the time, and lots of people are suffering from this kind of events. Now what is a friend? A friend can be a PET? or a HUMAN? In your own opinion, who is more loyal? A pet? or a human? I know we cannot compare humans and animals in terms of the level of intelligence cause human are the highest form of animal and the most intelligent, but for me i think we can compare them in one topic, and that is about loyalty. We can take away intelligence in this topic cause we are only talking about loyalty. Now for you, what do you think?

They say a dog will be loyal pretty much no matter what - a cat is only as loyal as the food bowl is full - and that might have some truth to it.
I have, however, made friends with stray cats that found something beyond food to like me for.
I think my friends all know I love my cats, and some of them love me, even with the food bowl perhaps not being as full as they might like - but I've never allowed it to stay empty because I have a cat I call "The Cat Who Will Eat Us In Our Sleep."

I think pets are more loyal than humans, because if you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous,he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.And I think a pet are the only thing in the world who loves you more that it loves itself.

I like this Shona - nicely said girl... although one time I nursed a goose back to health... and the very same day she could walk again she grabbed ahold of my arm with that beek and we were never buddies again. lol
but a goose is a little different from a dog/cat, etc. :)

It depends on how you treat them. There are pets that are just not loyal like cats, birds or fish. Once you set them free they might not return back to you. Same thing with humans you cannot mold them to be loyal to you. They will change depending on the way you treat them or depending on the character of the person you deal with. So for me there is really no better or worse between the two since it totally depends on the animal or human you are dealing with.

You got it but still the probability of pets being loyal is higher than humans. LOL! Everytime my cat goes out of our house he always return. LOl! But our maid just asked for a rest day, without even saying anything, she did not go back! LOL! The cat is more faithful hooray for my cat.. hehehehe

I couldn't really say. Pets have been known to start off trustworthy and then turn out of no where just as humans do to each other. I've heard people say pets are more loyal because they will still come back to abusers. Well so will many human beings. A abducted pet will travel half the world to get back to its family. A human being would do the same if it was them. I think maybe the loyalty is pretty equal.

Yes! You are right but what if not abducted, what if humans fight with each other? If we hit our pets, they are still here! If we confront humans, it is the most saddest part of the day and sometimes even forever. But just like what you said if we will talk about family, i cannot question that, it's true when we have problems, we go back to our family, if we have a misunderstanding with our partners we go back to our siblings or parents, but that is not loyalty cause we go back because of having a problem, what if we do not have a problem? Sometimes other people do not even remember the place where they grew up! Happy mylotting.

i think human is much loyal than dog
there are so many things that human can do
but animals cannot
human can cook food but animals cannot
one way of displaying loyalty to me is cooking
and animals cannot cook for me.
so human is much more greater loyal than animals

I think the pet is much more loyal than humans, if we only talk about one side. But it is also seen, what kind of pet? If for example a dog, I'm sure the dog is more loyal than any human! Humans can leave his friends as you say, when we were poor, were affected by distress, disaster, conflict, and so forth. The husband can divorce his wife during a prolonged family conflict. Children could have run away from home because of an argument with his parents, sister with sister can fight and do not care about one another, men and women who had been faithful to each other, because one thing could happen affair. There are many other events that cause people not loyal to the other. But pets, especially dogs, they will never leave his master's in any condition, even when they are left without good reason though, they'll keep looking and waiting for his master came home even though they were not given food and drink. That special pet, even though they were God's little brain, but they have a heart and a very great fidelity. Compared with men, who were given a large brain to think, but the hearts and feelings are sometimes small and narrow, full of pettiness and spite ...

Wow. That's a GREAT Topic to think about. I personally think sometimes a good pet is. Because pets just live life, they do not try to manipulate others, get ahead, fake friendships. Animals cant fake tat they love you. So if they dont, you can tell. With people, people deceive. It's true that sometimes people that truly are there for you then in emergency states, theyll stick by you better cuz animals often get scared and run away because they dont know what's going on. And people sometimes can work through the fear because they know exactly what's at stake.

Definitely a pet. Animals don't care how much money your have, they don't care what job you do, they don't care how popular you are, they only care that you love them. I have seen on tv how even abused animals still maintain loyalty to their owners. Animals only care that you pet them and play with them. They love you for you and don't care about all the other stuff. What could be more loyal than that?

Based from what I observe, I can say that pets are more loyal maybe because they don't have the tentendy to look for a perfect boss they are contented with the boss that they have at the present time unlike human who always seek for perfection and end up with dissapointment because as we all know there is no such thing as perfect aside from GOD..

You are right! The dissatisfaction of human to things makes it a little harder for us to become loyal. The hunger of humans to perfection makes us very vulnerable to commit mistakes. Human satisfaction doesn't end while pets are always satisfied. If only some people will learn to be satisfied enough of what they have, then i guess love and peace will prevail, but the hard part is, in this world it is next to impossible. Thank you so much for the response! Happy mylotting.

I think a pet is more loyal. Lets take the dog for example. Dog don't care what kind of person you are, how smart you are, how much money you have, or what you look like. If you show the dog love then he/she is going to show it right back. how many people can you say sees you as perfect in their eyes (besides your parents)? you can hit a dog, yell at, and even look at them dirty; still they can forgive you for all the bad things done and love you just as much...how many humans can you say can do that?

Yes and even if sometimes we don't show love to a dog, they will still show us love and that is embarrassing for humans to saw a dog who have much good values than us to think that they are only dogs. And no people will do that! No people! Because of the so called freewill and the belief of loving our own. But i think if we both work hard like love and other and be loyal to each other, maybe it will work, that is maybe.... It is "maybe" because sometimes even if we give almost our life to a fellow human, the return is still not expected nor acceptable.

I am with the majority here...my cats are always there for me whenever I need a hug..in fact they make me feel like I am the most important person with their need for attention and display of affection...that sure helps a lot after a rough day.
I believe if we show kindness to animals, they will return it ten folds because they are not manipulative. If you treat them unkindly, most of the time they will not hurt you back..unless it is life threatening of course. That is a high level of degree of love compared to ours, humans.
I guess our ambition, competitiveness and selfishness do contribute to our lack of loyalty. Pets however, due to their devotion, innocence and trusting nature are more loyal.

I think an animal has the gift to love blindly. They dont have to worry about what people say, paying bills, temptation-other than getting into the trash. They can live in the moment. But they also dont have the ability to love like humans, help, care for etc. So it may be an apple and orange thing. I just try to enjoy both and be thankful I have a good dog and a good human at home.

You are lucky to have both, i just want to clear things that when a pet is loyal to you it means the pet loves you. Even pets have the ability to feel love for their owners. I cannot question you about the love that a human can give than a pet, but that love sometimes easily be broken as time goes by and as events goes by. Pet loyalty is indeed unlimited unless they die! Humans loyalty don't humans have the ability of thinking and the belief of loving first their own than others and that is another wall that blocks humans for being loyal. But just like what i have said not all humans are disloyal. There are few who stays with their friends and love ones till their time to depart from this world comes. You are right just enjoy them both and be thankful to have one of the few people who are loyal and good. If you are loyal t your love ones then they will do the same, i think.. and i hope so... Anyway good for you to have them around, a dog who is very loyal and a human who have loyalty, enjoy them both, cause we all have a very short time in this world. We have to make them feel that they are important so that they will do the same. I am sure you are a good person cause there are good people around you. happy mylotting.

With the exception of most parents, I would say pets are the more loyal ones. They provide the unconditional love that you don't find everywhere. But I think most parents do provide that as well, I know my mother does.

For this question, I guess most people may hold the idea that animals are loyal than us human beings.
At first, human beings are smarter than these animals, which is the advantage of us. But just for our high intelligence, most people are becoming less loyal and there are full of suspicions in the various relationships, such as marriage, friends and relatives. Compared with human beings, animals are loyal, such as dogs. They are just the friends of us human beings.
Nowadays, We have had difficulities of building a steady relationship with others for lack of loyalty.

I think it depends on the pet. A dog is a good choice, they will always be loyal to their owners no matter what the owners do (with limits of course) but it hink is that beacouse they don't have such a big mind like humans. On the other side, I think human loyalty it's really more appreciated but it can be broken easily (also depends on the human, because we're not equal totally).

Yes still depends on the case, and a dog, just like what you said is a good decision. Loyalty cannot be called loyalty if it will be broken, cause when we speak of loyalty we speak of until the end. Loyalty is not like, 10 years or so, cause after 10 years and it happen to turn things down then it is not loyalty. Loyalty in fact is a word that is very hard to achieve for us humans, loyalty is almost perfect, and because of our ability to think and because of the so called individual in-differences it makes it a little much difficult. Thank you for the response and happy mylotting.

Technically speaking a pet is more loyal than a human being. That's for the reason that pets do not have free will and are easily influenced by their owners.
Humans on the other hand decide for themselves. They are free to make decisions on whether to remain loyal or go against someone
