One way to slow down diseases such as alzheimers, dementia, parkinsons is to give your brain a regular exercise.Losing my memory is definitely something that I dread to happen to me during my old age. I'm fond of solving quizzes, reading trivias, playing word games of all sorts and my latest craze is the soduko. But' I'm not nerdy. I'm just giving my brain a little boost.:-) So how do you tease yours? ;-)

I am terrified of losing my mind just as you are. It is such a terrible plight to become a vegetable. On the other hand it is also a very painless existence - you cannot even remember you were hurt so how would you feel pain. In any case us normal human beings use a very small percentage of our grey matter throughout our lives. Some special people like Einstein managed to use more. Like you I love taxing my brain doing Sudoku, puzzles, crosswords and quizzes. It helps me relax and keep my mind fresh.

I don't blame you for being afraid to get those types of head diseases. Everyone fears something. I fear alzheimers. I love playing soduko and crossword puzzles.
Thanks for the discussion have a great day.
