After having an argument in the bakery with my husband over our sons cake, my husband and I finally decided on what to get him. We didn't talk much and I told him to go home I'm late for class. We departed and exchanged some unpleasant words. I turned my phone off so that we wouldn't have a phone war, I really wasn't up for that, so I went to school. Anyways, I got out of class about 8pm. I turned my phone back on to call my mother, when I got a message from my husband with worry in his voice saying please call him asap. I hesitated at first, but then called him. He gave me the most gut wrenching news no mother would ever want to see or hear. He told me that our sons class mate that lived in our high rise building committed suicide by jumping of his balcony on the 21rst floor. My husband said right after we had the argument and went our ways, right in front of him he saw the 13 year old boy plummet to his death. He went into gory detail about what he saw and I will not repeat it, it just makes me to sick. I prayed for his mother and for him. The reason for his suicide was, because his mother forbade him to go to a basketball game. This boy spent summers over our house playing video games with our children. I got home kissed all my children. made them their favorite dessert and had a long talk with them. My heart goes out to the mother of this child who was mentally challenged to begin with, who thought that if he could jump out the window to sneak off to a ball game without dying. Mothers, Fathers, Guardians of children please tell your children you love them everyday and talk to them about suicide and how it affects not only them but others, let them know that it's a selfish crime. for religious reasons or not just tell them. Thank you for your time.
