Carrie Underwood's new album came out this past Tuesday, and I found this song on there. I cannot stop listening to it; it is SO beautiful. Her album is called "Play On", and here are the lyrics to the chorus of Temporary Home:
This is my temporary home
It's not where I belong
Windows and rooms that I'm passing through
This is just a stop on the way to where I'm going
I'm not afraid because I know
This is my temporary home
Basically it's talking about how earth is our temporary home and heaven will my permanent one. If you get a chance, look it up on YouTube and give it a listen. It is definitely worth it. You can also check out the interview of Carrie talking about how she wrote the song.

Yeah, I already listened to that song, and I stopped what I was doing at that time to see the clip where carrie was with her grandfather. It was so touching and it made me think of my own grandfather as well. I am sure to be with him this weekend too. I missed him.. hehe. Thanks. And I think I will listen to it again now..

Thank you for mentioning the interview bit - I didn't know she wrote it!

You're welcome and yeah, I didn't know she wrote it either until I watched the interview. I was really impressed with her after I saw that!

I have heard this one, and think it is an awesome song. I have yet to get this CD but do plan on getting it really soon. I think Carrie is an awesome singer, and even have been watching her on the Country Music Awards tonight, and am so Glad of where she has been able to go since Winning American Idol. I always continue to wish the Best for her always.
