Someone hit my car!

Driving to the store yesterday the car was acting funny so I called my mechanic to tell him about the problem. Within seconds of that conversation I turned the corner and the car stalled. I called him back and told him what happened and he told me if the car made it back to the house then to call him back when I got there.
Well, the car made it the short trip to the house (about half a mile) and when he came over to see about it (in the dark while we were having hurricane related weather) he couldn't determine what was causing it to overheat. The oil was a little low but not enough to make the car smoke and of course now the radiator was low from me driving it and not realizing there was a problem.
Finally he noticed something was up with the position of the radiator and the fan couldn't operate. He looked in the front of the car at the bottom and realized something had pushed in the radiator in one corner and the condensor air conditioner as well.
I only travel short trips to get to work or the store and so forth so that is why I took a while for the problem to become noticeable. Somewhere in the last three weeks or so (I thought I heard something funny a couple weeks ago in the engine and I thought I smelled something a couple times) someone with a trailer or something really low in back of their vehicle hit my car!
I just put that radiator in at the beginning of the summer! I cannot believe this!

Oh my. Some people can be really inconsiderate. Lucky, I've never had that experience but the worst I had was when someone keyed their name to the trunk of my car. Then, another time, someone stole my tail pipe because it was new and had a little light on it.

Someone keyed your car????? Was it someone that you knew personally? I can not believe the way some people behave, how they think they can do whatever they want. It is so childish and irresponsible and a host of other words I could think of. People are unbelievable some times!

Unbelievable. Do you know anyone by that name? Was it just a random incident?

Because of how it happened I didn't even know I was hit! If they hadn't pushed in the radiator and stuff I would never have known!

Unfortunately we don't have that rule here that someone has to leave a note if they hit your car.

wow that sure is bad luck, I wonder what hit your car. It is so expensive to get cars fixed. However, I never owned a car in my life.

That is an odd situation. Here I thought that you were going to say it happened whilst in the grocery store or running errands or something. Very odd that it happened a few weeks ago and only really started acting up until now. Too bad there isn't a way to tell who did it! Now are you going to have to replace your radiator again?
Now My MIL broke down last night but they think it was a lose battery that was put in a few days prior! Very odd there! I have had to get out of the car and jiggle the battery of my husband's old truck! Lol, well I didn't have to but as I was the passenger... lol!

Yeah, there is a possibility that the radiator can be straigtened out but that means not being able to drive the entire time it is being fixed. Because I wasn't driving much the car didn't have a chance to run hot so that is why I didn't know what was going on for a while.

haha Canellita, you have enough material from your experience to write a ghost story!
You have the ants in your fridge, the computer that crash for no reason, the car that nearly went up in smoke, and you have Mommaj in the cave!
I think if you link together, that is a marvellous story

haha, that's easy, imagination is always my strong point.
How about writing about Satan letting all the ghosts on holiday for Halloween, and one ghost refuses to go back to hell. He starts to create all the problems for you. That will be a funny ghost story.
A scary ghost story can start from you taking a solo hiking trip, and get lost in the nature reserve. You fall into a pit which is actually the grave of a hungry ghost. You disturb his sleep and he haunts you.
I dont know how you want to end the story, ask Mommaj to continue for you oh. You can send the ghost to her cave.

You and your ghosts! Must be some kind of Chinese influence! How are the ebooks doing at Lulu?

Hmmm, maybe you are right my friend. You will have to give me some pointers, fiction is not my strong suit.

Yeah this happens a lot and people never realize it, this is the number one reason I never park around other cars, people pack their cars in, and around shopping carts and then they wonder how their car got damaged.

Never parking around other cars is not realistic when you park on the street. The only way to avoid is to keep your car in your own home garage. It is understandable that doors get dinged and so forth but to have the car damaged in this way is not the sort of thing you would ever expect.
My car doesn't go out all that much as it is. It is usually parked in my driveway or on a quiet street where there are very few other cars parked. Nothing like this has ever happened before in all my years of driving.

Oh that would make me so mad. Can you turn it in on your insurance like as maybe a hit and run or something? I wish someone would have seen it while you were at the store and told you or even left a note on your windshield saying they saw someone hit your car and maybe give you the license plate number. Some people are so mean. I hope it gets fixed and I hope you don't have to spend a lot of money on it especially since it wasn't anything you did to it to make it mess up.

It was a hit and run! But that is the sort of thing that makes your insurance go up. It is hard to pinpoint when it happened or where. I only wish I had noticed something was up when it happened and I might have figured it out sooner.

Oh man! Now you are going to have to do all the work again that you already did to it. That makes me mad for you. I know how hard you had to work just to get it fixed the first time. That's a lot of money to do it all over again. I wish the person that hit you the worst of luck. LOL

It is the craziest thing! I just can not believe this has happened. It ran ok today with me just taking short trips and putting water in but I can't keep doing that indefinitely.

I feel so bad for you. On the bright side, maybe you can earn the money before it is completely broken. This is just not a good time of year. Did you notice our stars? What the heck happened? I guess it was going to happen sooner or later. They found our conversation and rated us poorly. Oh Well!

I used to work at a grocery store and people used to hit my car all the time. Nothing major like that though. People these days don't give a darn about other people. It's every man for himself anymore. Not fair but I guess that's how life goes. Seems to be only getting worse with time. What ever happened to a kind stranger, anyhow? Must of left....

Whatever happened to nosy people? If I had been the one who hit the other car some nosy person would have come running up to tell me what my responsibility was (like that time when I was young). I guess I can be relieved that the situation is not worse - for now.

Oh no! That is terrible. Too bad the store didn't have a security camera! At least it was still driveable.
