Are you a instrumental person...? well what instrument do you play?
I use to be really into drums and guitars but I lost track of it and stopped attending to classes - now I do it all at home on my Wii, simply by playing it from my Guitar Hero which is rather odd but still the same really.
Do you play/used to play a instrument?

I don't think I have the right discipline when it comes to playing instruments at all. I started playing the piano when I was a kid but stopped for years and then tried to learn again, and then stopped. And any time I see a piano or even a keyboard I think "I should start to play again!" But I think that's more or less a feeling of the moment, because I just think it and make no effort to actually carry it out. Then I tried to learn the guitar, and pretty much the same happened: tried to learn it, gave up, tried again, etc. But I think with games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, it makes it easy for people like me, because it's fun to play and you kind of get that feeling that you're learning what you wanted to learn but never could, if that makes sense.

I play piano and keyboards and started learning when I was around 7 years old. For around 12 years, I played professionally in bands and solo, but things are not easy for a musician as the work tends to be seasonal and I trained and became a therapist about 30 years ago. I still love music and remember my professional days with great fondness. - Derek

I remember I used to pay an instrument when I was in school. It was pretty tough to learn a new instrument and all the notes you have to play. I would say that I was average whenever I played. lol. I admire musicians that can play an instrument, I know it takes a lot of time and dedication to learn it.

I played guitar before but I wasn't that good at it. I really want to be a master on it but it's kinda hard because I started learning to play guitar when I'm older already. I should have started playing it while I was young. Anyway I'm no longer playing it now because my brother broke my guitar! Ahg! I'll buy a new one when I can save enough money for it. I miss playing my guitar...

yeah i play the guitar. i like both the acoustic as well as the electric guitar. i used to think i was good in the later version with all the power chords and stuff but recently came to find out that my true interest was playing the simpler but more meaningful version,i.e the acoustic version...with all the plucking and harmonics...anyways,thanks for the discussion.nice topic.

I used to play vertical flute and horizontal flute which are both Chinese traditional music instruments. But since I went to college, they have been deserted by me for quite long time.Playing musical instrument is a very good way to relax and free your soul and body. When you are tired of the hustle and bustle, try music and you might create your song singing from your heart

I want to learn how to play the violin and guiar but I don't have the time. Right now, I am very happy to play my voice, which is also a instrument. I feel free with music especially if I'm singing.

I think music is really important when it comes to everyday life and me and my wife both love music, and whenever we leave the house we always have the radio on and it is always on one of our favorite country stations since country music is the type of music we can relate to,and right now I do not play any instruments except I can kind of play the harmonica, but when I was in middle school I used to play the trombone in the school band for like half a semester, but I did not like the way the band director treated us so I quit and half of the band quit as well,so apparently I was not the only one who did not like the band director.

My mom started me on the piano when I was 4 and I played it all the way through college. I was actually a music major. I taught myself how to play the trumpet my last year in high school so I could be in the marching band and played that in college as well. I've lost my "lip" because it's been so many years since I've actually played a horn but keep my fingers nimble by touching the ivories every so often.

To be able to make music is nice, especially to control the rhythm and beat. I suck at drums though, that's why I shifted to playing the bass. Playing the bass is really nice because you try to blend in to the beat while making your own funk. I play the guitars and keyboard as well but I'm really into the bass. I would love to be able to play the upright bass in the future, they say it's hard to play but I would still love to try it.
