What is your tactic to lose weight?

I had a son a little over 2 months ago. I got really motivated this week to get back into shape. My goal is to do 7 work outs a week. I'll be able to choose between going on a walk, doing an aerobics class where I work, and doing an excercise video. I figure two work outs are a given since I do the aerobics class every tuesday and thursday after work. This morning I went on a walk with my son, so that's 2 workouts for today! We'll see how well this plan works and if I'll be able to get them all in. What are your tactics for losing weight and getting in shape?

My strategy right now is to do exercise in the morning and in the afternoon. As much as I can I exercise 4-5 times a week to lose weight. I'm bit worried again because Christmas is approaching I'm going to gain weight again if I'm not watch my diet.

What kind of workouts do you do? The holidays are very hard to keep on track. It's so easy to eat all the big meals and not-so-good for you delights and push working out till another day. Good luck. Let us know how it goes!

if you have time just take your son for a walk, in his stroller. then you also get to spend time with him. it's taken me the best part of the yr to lose round 10 kg now, mainly with just walking when i take the dogs out. it just makes me feel better, for my self. i usually try to go out once a day, but have taken to walking to work again. best of luck.

That's great that you live close enough to work to walk. My work is a bit far. We just got a new stroller that I can put my son in. He likes to go out, so we go on walks when it's not raining out. I do feel better now that I am getting outdoors more and getting some exercise. It's amazing how fast you can feel the difference. (I wish you could see it that fast!) Thanks for the input!

I have a treadmill at my house that I walk on and we also have a weight bench that I work my legs out on. My husband lifts weights but I only work my legs out on that. I try to walk at least 30 minutes several times a week. If it is nice outside we will walk outside. I also do crunches and push ups. I have a workout video that I do sometimes. I also have a dancepad for the playstation and I will dance on that and people wouldn't know it but you can really lose weight with that thing too. We eat at home most of the time and we eat good things for us. I also drinks lots of water too.

That's awesome! I admire that you have the resolve to do so much! We also have the dance pad at home. It's hard work! Thanks for your input. I've been trying to drink more water too.

Go to the gym i would say that is the best way and maybe eat healthy. Congrats on the new born :D so cute.

My work has a gym. It's hard for me to motivate myself to go in early or stay late to lift weights or do cardio. The aerobics class is a little easier because some of my co-workers do it too, so they keep me accountable. Thanks!
