Discussion on Truth

I know that sometimes the truth can hurt... deeply and may leave a scar. But sometimes it may seem pleasing and joyful to the ear and heart.
So, my question is... do you lie to yourself? If so, in what situations? Why?

i may sometimes be a bit disillutioned(sorry can't spell),but i don't lie to myself
