Should it be illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving?

I think it should. People make too many mistakes when they drive and talk. I see it all the time - they speed up and then slow down because they are distracted. They pull over and change lanes without looking. I just think it is too distracting to be on the phone while you are trying to perform and complicated high level skill such as driving. I once followed a highway patrolman down the highway and the lady in the car just to the right and behind him was drunk. She almost hit him three times. He was on the phone and never saw noticed her. That made me feel real safe :(

In some countries, I think that there were laws passed banning the use of cellphones, especially talking and texting while driving in public vehicles. I agree with you that talking on cellphone should be deemed illegal and that it is banned in our country. I am feeling insecured when drivers text or talk with someone with their hand on the phone and no hands or only one hand on the steering wheel. It is very dangerous.
