Have you ever been in love with someone that was selfish?

I was with someone very selfish for 3 years. It didn't work out obviously because I dumped him. I tried to put up with all of his nonsense but I got tired of it and decided I deserve better so I left.

Yes, I've been in love with someone selfish. I spent 3 years with this person. The adage "Love is Blind" fits my previous relationship. I spent those years, blind by the way my lover never remembered any special occasion, or spent time with me unless it had something to benefit him. My world revolved in pleasing, helping, creating a stable environment for him that I forgot about ME! Eventually, the relationship went down hill. I couldn't see myself being hurt over and over again.
