Hi, I have a 30 gallon tank with 6 jack Dempsey in it. and if you know your fish, you know JD's are extremely aggressive. At petco they sell goldfish as feeders for 23 cents a piece, i have used them before to feed my fish, but it feels pretty wrong, letting my fish, eat a bunch of gold fish. I usually use minnows but it's a lot farther drive, anyways, i was wondering if you guys ever used gold fish as feeders, if so what fish ate them?

Feeder fish are not good to feed your fish because they do not feed them right and therefore they are like popcorn, empty of nutrition unless you feed them well before feeding them to your fish. Also goldfish have lots of fat in them that is not good for your tropical fishes. Jack Dempsies are not fish eaters in the wild (they will eat them if available) but rather eat snails, worms etc.
