do you enjoy your present work?what do you think is a ideal job?

I am not able to work now but my last job was what I considered to be my ideal job. I worked as a proofreader and LOVED it! English came naturally to me, much more than it does to most Americans. I was an English major in high school and college but my first love was Art. My teacher in high school convinced me that I should have English as a major as well as Art. I really didn't have that much interest in English class but, well, I just sort of stumbled into it. I had several jobs in my working life and it wasn't until I became a self-employed proofreader that I was truly happy. My last job was not as self-employed and I was not at all happy with the company's bureaucracy but I loved doing my job. I was proofreading medical journals. I felt like I was cheating the company when I got paid because I found the work fascinating and didn't think of it as "work". I miss that work a lot. I wish I could continue doing it but I have disabilities that will not allow me to work anymore. But, before I found that work, I changed jobs a few times because I was not happy. I think anyone should keep searching for something they like doing and not settle for just any job. When you enjoy your work it doesn't seem like work at all.

I don't think that there is such a thing called an ideal job because for me if you love what you are doing and enjoying it then that is would be ideal to you. Yes, I do love my job right now even if my salary is not that enough but I am enjoying an at the same time learning something new from it.
