I am on my way to see an advanced screening of 2012 tonight. I got the tickets from being a newspaper subscriber. They sent me an email asking if I wanted 2 free tickets and I filled in the form and sent it back on their website. About 5 days later they came in the mail. Now I am taking the bus down to Miami to meet up with my husband. The movie is playing down there and hubby works down there so we are saving gas money doing it this way.
I know this is going to be a great movie and it's free! Also I used my son's bus pass that he got for school so it was really a freebie!
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I do hope you would enjoy the movie. I am planning to watch it too if its possible for us to go this weekend as my wife has to go to work this weekend. I am seeing this movie as another "doomsday movie" scenario and I like watching this films since the effects of destroying many locations but I do hope it won't happen to us in real life.

I hope you get to see it with your wife. Like you I really hope this does not happen to us in real life either. But if it does people like you and I really don't have much of a choice but to just see it out to the end.
But anyways it was a really great movie, definitely would the 2 1/2 hours too. It really didn't seem like it was that long as it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!

I am just so happy that I got to see it for free because I had really wanted to see it when I first heard about it months ago. I am going to buy the special edition dvd of it when it comes out. It was great.

I did, I went last night with my daughter and son-in-law. My husband wouldn't go but he's not much of a movie fan unless it's with John Wayne, and he hasn't made many new movies lately...lol. I agree with you on all counts, it was definitely an awesome movie and didn't seem like anywhere near as long as it was. I rarely buy DVD's but this just might be one that I do.

Wow! Free movie tickets just like that? Nice. Were you an online newspapers subscriber or does your newspaper get to your front step every morning? Would have been nice to have something like that here.
Im really curious to watch 2012 as well. The trailer just looks to be promising a very good movie to watch. I like to watch those action-packed movies in theater cause I feel like they are worth every cent spent. Other kind of movies would be just fine on cable.
Enjoy your movie date!

It was a blast! This is really a movie that you will appreciate seeing on the big screen. There are so many special effects it will blow your mind. I still can't believe I got to see it for free!
We get the weekend edition of the newspaper delivered to us in person; the physical newspaper. But the price is like $33.00 for 6 months or something like that. It is well worth it though for the price I pay.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!

Yes it is like getting the newspaper for free. Because we pay $33 for 6 months of service. So it seems we are getting 3 movies a month just about. And for 2 people at a time. So tickets are around $10 each so that is a $20 value each time.
Thanks for your comment and happy myLotting!!

Hey! That sounds super cool! Lucky you! Where can I get my free tickets? . Just kidding. 2012 is actually one of those movies that I actually WANT to see. So you'll definitely have to let us know if it's worthwhile for us to see it (because we'll be paying for it LOL) - but no spoilers, please! .
Anyway, enjoy yourself!

Gosh, wouldn't that be just awesome if they threw in free popcorn and snacks too? I am just very happy to be able to see these movies for free. I do have to wait in line for about an hour or so but it is worth it for the tickets being free!
I hadn't been to the movies in a couple years because I can't afford it but now I am able to go about every 2 weeks or so for free just for having a newspaper subscription!

Wow how wonderful for you. Please let us know if it is worth the price of a ticket to go see. I very rarely see movies in the theater. But I think this one I would like to see on the big screen with all the sound effects.
So please share how the movie was but please no spoilers

I don't go to the theater as much either as I really can't afford it. The only way I am affording it now is that I am getting to go for free. I don't buy the popcorn and stuff so it ends up being free. Although sometimes I might smuggle in some candy or other snacks.
Well, the movie had LOTS of special effects and there was a lot of destruction, etc. but you would expect that. There was lots of dramatic scenes and the movie was very well acted.
Definitely go see it in the theater - it is really worth the price of admission.
Thanks for your comment and have a great day!!
