Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has leukemia!

I found this out the other day and I was in shock! Apparently Abdul-Jabber was diagnosed last December and is coming out talking about his illness. Kareem has been very aloof of his personal life over the years. Now with leukemia he has decided to come out and tell his story. Maybe it will help other cancer victims cope or whatever with their illness! I think Kareem is doing a good thing! I followed most of his NBA career and never will forget the Laker dynasty of the 1980's! The skyhook! Magic Johnson! Showtime! Coach Pat Riley and the 5 NBA Championships in the 1980's! Now that was a great team,those 1980's Lakers!

Unfortunately it is true. What I found to be amazing is the fact he decided to go public and to let everybody know he will fight with the disease. Which is the right thing to do; there's always hope. Here comes Kareem' s life toughest game. Blessings from me.

Thanks for the response! I was very surpired Kareem went public with his cancer! He is a very private person! I wish him well,too!
