A true sign of heroism. I have watch this on CNN and i felt sad but didn't cry. it happened in pakistan and a suicide bomber dressed in womens clothing killed security guards as the terrorist enter the women's campus of Islamabad's International Islamic University. and tried to rush inside a canteen where the students are taking lunch, i think. But this Janitor Pervaiz Masih stopped the Suicide bomber and end up blowing itself up with him (janitor). three have died in the attacked but the students were great-ful to him because more would have more students who have died. now, they call him a hero. Now, I hope most people around the world would stop hating simply because of religion. the religion itself, is a minority in pakistan but you know, he sure showed true sacrifice, by saving a lot of people. Have a great day Oh, Yeah..I found a Link. : http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/11/11/pakistan.hero/index.html

Sadly, discrimination is a part of life whether by religion or color but I do believe for someone to be a hero it wouldn't matter what he/she believes in or the color of his skin. Thanks for sharing, it's inspiring.

i don't think discrimination is the issue here but the mans regardless of religion save the life of the other. i didn't really see any information if the janitor was discriminate in anyway before the bombing, but i don't think they'll discriminate him now for what he did/

Religion has the power to draw people together, just as it has great power to cause a great divide. Religion has been the source of many wars and disputes since time immemorial. I don't think we should look at eachother on the basis of our beliefs but well, unfortunately, when certain things are tied to God, people are willing to die for a cause even when it doesn't seem quite right. The man gave his life to save other people who are in no relation to him and regardless of what color they are and what their beliefs are. He is a true hero. Just goes to show that no matter what religion or background you come from, it doesn't really matter as long as you are willing to do good, it's all that should matter.

I agree. Hopefully, this religion based violence would stop. Seems a little far fetched but all we can do is hope and not get into the same pit of cynical beliefs as those people are in.

Well, we need to remember we are getting to the last days, so you never know what people will really do. But to save a group from being blown up was very courageous for sure. I think many people would never consider doing something like this in fear for their life and safety. But in reality this is just the beginning of things yet to come, and where will we be in the end?

I SALUTE this man! No awards can measure his heroism! Imagine! A Christian who saves Muslims. Wow! That is the true example of a Human Being, no matter what religion he will still scarf ice himself just for the life of others! I am sure he will go to heaven straight! That must be an example for people around the world, a example that must be followed by the majority of us human beings in this world! I SALUTE HIM!!!

hellorjvb, this man did his job more than just being a janitor and protected the lives of the students. he didn't even think if they are muslims or not. this should have been spread to those communities that has long hate with each other between a Muslim and a Christian. I wish they are more Like him
