I am getting frustrated...

I am getting really frustrated with my work. To be fair, I have always got along well with the people I work with and the schedule is not that hard to keep up with. The problem is that the pay isn't great.
To make matters worse, the travel to the office from my house and back costs a lot too. Here in the Philippines, whenever there is an increase in fuel prices, we commuters feel like hostages. It's like we always get the sharp end of the deal cause we end up paying for it at one point or another.
When I was younger, I used to dream about giving my parents everything they wanted when I got a job. And now, I just get so sad everytime I couldn't give them what they deserved for being such great parents to me and my siblings!
I don't know what to do. With the economy flagging, I can't even quit my current job for fear that I may not find something better right away. So sad...
If there is one thing I have always been proud of, it's the fact that I have always been a good worker. I was responsible and always went the extra mile for my job. So how come I never see that in my paycheck!?
Oh well, things will get better right?

We are going through the same thing here. Once a week there is an update on fuel prices and it always seems to be going up.
If you want to increase your earning you need to increase your traffic and a great way to do that is to write unique articles and get them published on the top article directories. Then point your articles to relevant pages on your site.

That's a great tip WebMann. But I guess I have a long way to go before I even come close to achieving that.

It is for this same reason that I quit my job. I work hard and tried very much to please employers so they will increase my salary but it didn't work. I even came to the point where I asked them for a salary increase but received no response. I felt very frustrated and ended up hating my job. I felt like a slave of the company. Finally, I resigned because I can no longer contain my frustrations.

Apart from the fact that I am not paid as well as I would have hoped, I really got to like the job. The people are great and helpful so I would really hate to have to leave it. But I may have to follow suit if things do not get better.

This sad sight is all over the world. In our country (Latvia), there is more difficult situation - the great part of Latvians work hard, approximately 8-12 hours a day, 6 days per week, but receive so little money, that can't pay own bills. And such situation is almost a year.
But we all hope, that something will change....hope is only light we have. Don't lose your hope and sooner or later the luck will come to You!!!!

It is just unfair for hardworking people like you to be compensated so poorly right? But you are right, hope should never be lost even in trying times.
Thanks for the inspiring thought...
