Firefox - very user friendly with lots of add ons.
Internet Explorer - very insecure web browser, ugly, slow.
Opera - for more advance users, very secure web browser
Chrome - has some security issues, still new and i keep my eye on it as it develops
Safari - haven't used it much
Avant - haven't used it
I can never decide between Firefox and Opera i keep going back and forth.

I'm using Firefox and its definitely the best browser.I've used chrome but didn't really liked that.Opera is also good but its not the leader in computer's web browser though its mobile web browser(opera mini) is great.I'm using opera in my phone.
IE is the worst and same is the case with safari as they both are not secure.

I have tried all the web browsers you have mentioned, but only one I have been using for a long time is FireFox. I think all the browsers are good and unique in their own way but I have a pretty pretty good priority to FireFox because it is open source. Good speed, add-ons, themes and security..., all makes it perfect for me.

those app have their superiority and weakness, in my humble opinion you must decide what you needed from a web browser. If you needed a fast web browser you should choose a chrome, if you needed very userfriendly web browser you can choose Opera. When you needed multipurpose web browser you can choose firefox, with firefox addons you can make your webbrowser as you needed.
