Family or Friend? Who would you choose?

Have you ever had an experience when a family member and a very close friend clashed together and you are there stuck in the middle of it all and you had to choose a side? I have and it was so difficult. It was a love triangle thing and it was either supporting family or a friend. Circumstance made me choose family and I had to pay the price of losing a friend. If only I didn't have to choose. I still feel bad at times whenever I see this friend at social websites. I guess it's a very big deal to lose even just one friend.

it all depends what the argument is about.I would definitely side with the one I think is right even if it meant losing a relationship.I have to be clear to my conscience otherwise I would never be able to forgive myself.This way at least I will know in my heart of hearts that I was right in taking sides.I hope such a situation does not come about though.

Yes, the truth will always point you to the right direction and it will give you the strength to stand by your decision, but I guess it won't prevent anyone from getting hurt. I guess with my situation someone was hurt but somehow I was hurting myself too.

Well your situation is pretty hard to deal with... But everything is only up to you of whom you can afford of losing then you have the chance of keeping the other. Just weigh it who is more close to you.

First I will not allow to make conditions like this so that i have to choose family or friend. But if this type of condition will come I will try to check who is right then i will take decision on that.
Because if you will be biased to your family then you can loose your good friend (like you) which would be very costly to you.

You are so right to say to try not to get into a situation like this and believe me I have learned my lesson. I was trying to think back with regards to the situation I had and there would have been some things that I should have done to have prevented it to happen.
But then again, it already happened and no matter who I choose I would be losing family or a friend and either way, it will be costly.
