Frankly speaking,I have n't known savage garden for a very long time. But once I heard their classic -truely,madly,deeply,I find it is so attractive with the rhyme and words. 'I wanna lay like this forever...' It is such a beautiful image. Then I listened to most of savage garden's songs and found I am fond of them. Most of their songs are beautiful though maybe seems with different feeling and style. Affirmation, has cool lyric and exciting rhythm. two beds and a coffee machine is melancholy but beautiful...I think I can not find more of such songs...it is a pity the band doesnot exist now.

I remember when I used to listen to Savage Garden all those years ago. I like all the songs that they have written. I even have an original c.d. of their music. I can listen to it and brings back all those good memories. I still enjoy Savage Garden.

Oh, I am so happy to see this discussion!
I was a huge Savage Garden fan and have their albums and also the live and remix versions. Love all the songs, my best friend and I both love them and we now live in different countries so a lot of the songs are connected with meaningful times and memories for us.
Darren has a beautiful voice and amazing range, and he is fantastic live, seen him twice. His voice really is that good live, probably better than recorded.
I have all his solo stuff and I know he is currently working on a new album (I follow him on twitter, lots of photos and tweets he posts of the recording and writing process)
Nice to see some other Darren/SG fans around!

Hi Mingyang, If you liked "Truly, Madly deeply" then try listening to "I knew I loved you". It's my favorite song up to now. You sound like a romantic person so I copied the lyrics for you. Hope you like it. Cheers!
Maybe it's intuition
but some things you just don't question
Like in your eyes, I see my future in an instant
And there it goes,
I think I found my best friend
I know that it might sound
more than a little crazy
but I believe...
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
There's just no rhyme or reason
Only the sense of completion
And in your eyes, I see
the missing pieces I'm searching for
I think I've found my way home
I know that it might sound
more than a little crazy
but I believe...
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I've found you
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

Their lyrics really are beautiful, and I think that listening to them again makes me appreciate the song more than when I was younger. I have a habit of picking up old artists and falling in love with them all over again upon hearing their songs. Lately, I have been in an 80s mood--pulling out Heart and Pat Benatar. I think that alot of people do that on occasion.

I love savage garden. When I met my girlfriend she sent me Truly, Madly, Deeply. We made it our song. After that I listened to more of them and like you I love them all.

I agree with you; they are a good band; Savage Garden, and too bad they are no longer singing, is that it? I'm not too sure, I don't know if they take a very long break or have broken up already. Their songs are unique and I always imagine them collaborating with a female singer like Beyonce or Christina Aguilera..

Wow I am still to find a bad savage garden song and believe me I know most of their songs .I think the band is underated ,their vocal ability and lyrical prowess is unmatched .I recently checked them out on you tube and believe me it just reinforces what I know.Savage Garden rock!!!.I could suggest other songs for you to listen to but it would last into the night but you could check crash and burn ,animal song ,so beautiful ..heck go and buy all their albums you wont be dissapointed

I'm a fan of Savage Garden too. I simply love their music. It's great. I wish they're still together. The band is awesome. But it doesn't matter much that they're gone now because their music will stay alive generations to generations.

I have been a Savage Garden fan for some a longtime. Songs like Tears of pearls, Break me Shake me,Crash and burn, Animal song and my personal Favorite "to the moon and back" are simple classics for me. I simple love to the moon and back. Maybe it is because it was the first Savage Garden song i heard. I loved the band so much that i didn't even think twice abt buying Darren Hayes's "Spin" album. Needless to say Hayes is and was an awesome Song writer.

I listened to Savage Garden many years ago and I have to say that I loved that band to peices. The lyrics are awesome and in no way Savage so-to-speak. When i first heard the name of the band I thought it was something like Metallica and then I heard the song "Ooh I want you, I don't know if I need you but, Ooh i'd die to find out". That did it for me and still love them! It's really tragic that they aren't still singing. They were great!
