Black Friday Jobs

Who all have to work on black Friday? 
I know I do I have to be at work at 3:15am EST. I work in retail part time and that is one of the day I don't want to work not one bit. Its bad enough that I'm not a early person but come on. I don't even make it to catch the early bird black friday shopping events let alone work it. Then on top of that you get the nastiest people that think their sugar honey ice tea don't stink and beleives you are to either do their shopping for them or to top it off suppose to wrap like 20 gifts for them like their the only ones that is shopping and spending money.
Am I the only one that have to go through this on this day?!
I know when I come home I'm going to have stories for Mylot friends and I'm going to have to vent something serious. I just hope I won't get on any of my friends nerves here at myLot. Thank you for the early venting but this is going to be continued....

I know this doesn't help your frustration, but I'd give a lot to have a job--even one dealing with the nasty public! I've been unemployed for a year now.
The public can be so nasty and inconsiderate. But just think, how they treat you is what they are really like and people like that rarely die surrounded by people who truly love them. How sad. You should pity them.

I am blessed that I do have a job but its just that sometimes I just don't get people. I must you go shopping and decide you just want to be nasty.

I've worked for the public so I know just how you feel. People can be so awful, they treat you like dirt just because you are in a service job. They don't stop to think where they would be without you! I always make it a point to be especially considerate to those with jobs that deal with the public--I might give them the only kind word they hear during their working day.
I do feel for you! I've felt the same way in my younger days when I was able to work without having to sit down. Nasty, horrid people!! On Black Friday, be assured you have plenty of empathy in spirit as well as in your fellow workers!

I will be working on Black Friday but I will not have to do it outside of my home, thank God. It is a madhouse on Black Friday. I will not even leave my house on that day because it is too hectic.

that is a blessing but I have to do that job also when I come home from the corporate world.

I don't like that on Black Friday, I would rather lay in my bed for extra hour rest. Call me lazy, and I been working really hard, and I aim to make some extra cash in my pocket. I am extremely exhausted too, but I still continue to work.

I do but not until 11 at night. I don't do Black Friday shopping anyways. I went once, and thought I was going to die. It was awful. I have done almost all of my kids shopping already.

Wow, so you done your shopping early this year then. I can't believe it. And me too, I won't even want to be a crazy people camping outside the retailer stores to wait for it open. I rather rest myself at bed.
