Do you have a best friend?

Most people have friends but they're not the kind of close friends who can be categorized as best friend.
A best friend, I feel, is the one that has your back in whenever you're doing, a person you can turn to no matter hat happens, the one to whom you share every feeling you have inside. I hold nothing back from my best friend, and so does her. We won't turn down each other because we're like a team. So we don't try to fight one another either.
My best friend is my mom. She's like the coolest mother ever!
What about yours? Have you find a best friend yet?

It's odd how people change as they grow older, right? I'm sorry for your loss.. Maybe it's his loss, not yours, though. :)

I have to say that my mother is a great friend... but I'm not sure she's my best. I love her soooo much... but there are details from my personal life that I choose not to tell her! Otherwise she's a great friend. But I have two friends that I consider 'best friends' I feel bad using that term because neither one of them is better than the other. One is my best friend from high school. We NEVER fight, ever, she's amazing and always understands me and I can talk to her about everything. My other best friend is from college... we have similar past experiences and future lifestyles and that's what keeps us so close. She's amazing and I love her so much. Both of them are just fabulous! Thank goodness for best friends!

I don't keep th details from my mother because her reactions to knowing them are different than how many mothers would react. She acts better than most mother.
You're very lucky to have found 2 best friends since you're young. I hope your relationship with them stay that well for the many years to come :)

I had a best friend for a long time and she started doing some stuff that I didn't approve of and I told her so. I didn't want people to think just because I was her best friend that I was doing it too. When I told her how I felt she didn't like it and she stopped coming over quite as often. Then we just kinda lost our friendship. I saw her about 4 years ago and she was nice and we went to dinner and she said she was going to start calling and coming over again and she never did. When I had my son she called up to the hospital and told me she was going to come see us. My son is 3 years old and I still haven't seen her since that call.
So I met a new friend several years ago and we have become best friends. We tell each other everything and I know she's got my back and I've got hers. If she needs anything at anytime of the day or night she knows I'm here and I know she is there for me. We go everywhere together and we get our kids together to play all the time. She's a really great best friend and I'm glad that I met her.

Your old friends changed because of what you said meaning that she's not a really good friend then, right? I'm happy for you since you got a new one :)

Good discussion ,when I first saw it I thought it would have been easy to answer .However on deeper thought I realised that I havent had a best friend since high school. Now I have many people who I can talk to but no one person exclusively .I think that either structure may work as with one best friend you know the chances of your personal business leaking are less but with many friends then the chances of you having someone to talk to are greater .I didnt mean to make this so logical and mechanical ,lol,I guess it just happened though

BESTFRIENDS are amazing. can a person actrally live life with out a best friend?! my best friends name is blakley...i love everything about this girl...all thought we are COMPLETE OPPOSITTS we atract like magnets makeing a tighter bond then a fat guy in spandex. she loves country and hunting fishing mud guy harvey tee shirt and boots. she has the name on the back of her belt and she likes chevy and gators football team...BUT i am a city girl,i like rap music tight clothes and matching shoes too every outfit i like to dance and party hard i like suspence and scary movies...we both adjust to each outhers life style and have fun with it because its something new...we never lie too each outher and tell each outher EVERYTHING no joke! when some one is talking bad about me, she would be first to jump on the case and argue for the best in me.she gives me wonderfull advise and if i ever needed some where to go besides home i know i would have a place with her i love this girl.if we havent talk saw each outher or texted in over a hour. YOU KNOW SOMETHINGS wrong lol!

Whoa this worths a thumbs up. it's great how you could make someone who's a complete opposite of you as your best friend. Maybe there's a lesson here, that is, to befriend everyone no matter how different they are to you.

My best friend is my future husband Mark. We are always there for each other good bad ugly and indiffernet. Its a wonderful feeling to have a best friend that you can talk about anything to, who never thinks badly of you ,and no matter how bad things ever seem to be they are always there to lift you up. You can do things with ,including the task of grocery shopping(yuck) and yet have fun doing it together. Yes best friends are teams.

Beside my mother, my boyfriend is my best friend. He is exactly like what you've described. I always can turn to him no matter what happens. I can share every feeling with him. We won't turn down each other. Even we fight sometimes, we'll solve the problems together. He is my real best friend.

I have a best friend and we have been friends since college, since then we have been the best of friends, we always play pranks on other friends, make fun other then but never to each other..... but one thing is that we overdo the "fun" bit and whenever we learn a course we end up falling far behind as we are always having fun and chilling..... at one time we also used to be called "ant and dec" because we always seen togther lol, but yes we do fight ALOT lol, maybe because we both have the star sign of Leos but we solve the fight the same day no matter how big the fight was, so yea its great having a best friend

I would have to say that my best friend is my husband..he is the one that I share the most with and feel like I can tell anything to. I also share things with my mom but not as much as I do with my husband. There are things that I tell my husband that I would never tell my mom but i also think there are things that should be shared between husband and wife and that is what makes a marriage strong.
I also have a friend from elementary school that I still talk to and we share things with each other as well but we don't get together quite as often as we should but we also know that no matter how much time has elapsed we can still call one another and rant or cry or laugh depending on what mood we are in we are still there for each other. So I guess I could say I have three besties but they are all different in their own ways because each of them gives me something different and I love that =)

You are very lucky to be able to say that about your mother. I cannot imagine ever calling my mother my best friend. Or even my friend.
Having said that, I DO have a best friend, who is like a sister to me. We have known each other for about sixteen years, and have been through a lot of stuff together, laughed, cried, traveled, everything. I trust her with my life and there is nothing I would not feel able to tell her.
We are both married now, and I live in America, she still lives in England (my home country) but we are as strong as ever and in contact all the time. Leaving her back in England when I got married was like someone dying. I would hear a song that means something to us and cry. Still do sometimes. And its horrible now every time I go over and then have to say goodbye again!
But I am lucky too, though I do not have that sort of family, some people never get that sort of friend.

Hello,I have many friends,I consider them as my best friend whom I can rely and trust for.But My very very best friend is the only one up there in heaven,Our God an Almighty God in Heaven.May be you can say that i'm OA,but this is really true, and comes from my heart. In God I can ask what ever i want for my self and for my family with no limitations.I Keep on praying to our God, and i know he is always there to guide me.I really feels God's Blessings.I also love my friends because i believe that friends are treasures, and i really treasures my friends. Before my mother also was my best friend but she's not around. It's so painful to me.So I keep on praying to make me strong always.I'm so touch with this topic. Thanks,Happy mylotting!
