what are the key factor(s) to successs?

Some people are luckier than others. Still, I think essentially you have to have a good mindset, apart from hard work. You need to open yourself to be educated and persevere to achieve your goals. A positive attitude would also do you good.

Maybe to those you say who are successful but did not work hard are just too plain lucky and how they did that, only them knows. For me when we want to be successful, we must work on it, discipline ourselves, and put out all our efforts. Also, we must love what we are doing and always be optimistic.

Hi, I'm also confused about this, when I was in school, I think the key factor to success is study hard, so I studied hard at school, and get the scholarship every year, when I graduated I think if you find a high salary job, you are success. My salary is not high, I am confused about being success, what is the key factor to success, this is really hard to answer, hope I can also find the answer in your discussion.

I think it depends on what do you want to achieve. But i think that one of the most important things to success is to be inteligent, smart! We need to be smart in everything, you could have the best notes on harvard or be a doctor, but if you dont know how to talk to people, or how to lie, then you will not have success, colleges dont heal stupidicy. :)

hmmmmm.. i think its about having a positive attitude towards your work or job. i mean being creative and not being afraid of changes and being able to adjust to those changes. Being patient is also a must. hmm.. ofcourse hardwork is a big factor. and lastly, you have to love what your doing ( even if it meant that your not gonna be paid for it!) zzz zz z z ...success so far away :(

There are many keys to become successful but for me it was my strength,hard work and most of all my faith that leads me to my success.Never give up and face the trials no matter how painful they are because those pains will make us strong.

I think the key factors to success should be hard working and seizing the opportunities.While working hard,we make ourselves better prepared for the opportunities by improving ourselves step by step and becoming sensitive to them.But if you just let your opportunity go away,you can also never succeed. In a word,working hard is the foundation and seizing the opportunities comes to be what make the work you have done show their value. (To be an addition,working hard here doesn't means you just need to keep working and think of nothing,it means do what is really valuable.So it requires you learn to choose what to work on!!)

The key factor to success? The belief that you ARE the key factor. In other words, confidence. You probably will never be successful if you aren't confident that you are good enough to achieve what ever it is you want to achieve. For example, if you wanted to succeed in a restaurant, you can't think to yourself 'I'm not a good chef. I'm just going to fail and make a fool of myself.' You have to believe in your food (and yourself!) if you want others to as well. You say that many people do not work hard yet succeed. Maybe this is true, sometimes. But those people are confident in themselves and their abilities, which is hard work in itself. Being confident doesn't mean you are big-headed, oh no. You can be quite humble, but still believe that you are good enough to do whatever you want to do. Success comes to those who realise they're worth it. I think Dr. Seuss puts it perfectly: "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know.
