who is the best Music Director in film industry???

I'm going to take this in a totally different direction and say I love Danny Elfman. His scores are always so distinctive. Even before you see his name in the credits you know he did the music for a movie because it just "sounds like Danny Elfman." He's probably most commonly associated with Tim Burton (which is probably another reason I like him) but he's done music for other directors/producers/movies as well... including (but definitely not limited to) Good Will Hunting, Milk, Notorious and Men in Black (one and two).

All the four response have been for A.R.Rehaman only, and I also feel that A.R.Rehaman is one of the best. There is one more South Indian music director, who may not be known to the north Indians and the hindi speaking people. His name is ILAYARAJA, and in my opinion, he is better than Rehaman. The only difference is, Rehaman is more known, because he has done many Hindi films,where as Ilayaraja, has not done many hindi films.

according to me i like A R Rah man.He is the music director with lots of talents in it.

acc to me i feel A.R.RAHAMEN is the best i love his composition he has a different style,which can attract the music lovers.his music has good feel of melody....
